Orion VS Hulk

Absolutely.

That can work in his favour, when the writer can't be bothered to make too intricate a fight and just goes "Hulk Smash" (whenever Hulk faces off against Nightmare, he just seems to beat the shit out of him, physically).

And then there's the times when writers want to give Thing or Wolverine or Namor some "screen time" and extend what should be a one-panel, one-punch "fight" into a great epic of back and forth with tension in every panel ...

Those "extended fights" outweight his "worldbreaker mode" fights, though.

It's like arguing Flash hits his absolute top end, Anti Monitor armor destroying, 1000 Infinite Mass Punches before a white Martain can blink power levels.

Sure, I love to call "helicarrier buster" or "Black Panther Vibranium Suit shredding blitz" in an Iron Fist thread as much as the next Danny Rand fan, bu the truth is, I'm usually assuming he'll use his average Iron Fists on Spidey, Black Tarantula, or whoever.

I suspect he's just trying to wind people up. He can't honestly be that poor at reasoning...

Anyway, given Savage Hulk's already bfred Pre-Crisis Superman into space with a mere flexing of his muscles and Hulk's only grown more powerful since then ... I guess he feels it prudent to get to cutting down the Hulk feats now, before somebody revives an old Hulk vs Superman thread.

On topic again, people seem to be in agreement that Hulk wins this.

Want to see something crazy?

The same fight you are referencing...Superman bull rush Hulk.

I think it's pretty clear it was a contest of respective strengths to me.

Feel free to disagree.

I don't think there was anything nonchalant about it.

Not really. Characters far weaker than other characters have sent them flying. The mere fact that superman was letting hulk pound on him without even budging is ridiculous in itself. Can you name any other character who has done something like that?

Superman was looking for something and yet casually blocked hulk's punch. That's nonchalant by definition.

Except they do not, as they are explained by writers as being evidence of him holding back.

You either accept what Marvel says about the character they publish or you don't. I suspect you don't.

At first, Supes wasn't taking him all that seriously. Just standing there. If Superman were to go all out (And we're talking PC Supes), he would have crushed Hulk, IMO.

In that same fight, Hulk koed him.

Definitely more evidence of Savage Hulk = PreC Superman in terms of physical strength and robustness.

Ofcourse Hulk's base/average strength and his own confidence in himself has grown since then.

I think it was during Tempus Fugit or someother Nightmare Island based story, that Banner/Hulk explained how all his previous Savage Hulk feats had merely been the work of an "adolescent Hulk" and that he is stronger now.

Lol! one-punch KO...

How was that a KO? Did he stay down? Looks like Hulk was KO'd in the ruble for a short amount of time. 👆

His LIMP BODY hit the ground and yes, he was gone quite a bit. Hell, Hulk nearly destroyed the city before he returned.

Look how many panels went by before he returns.

Spiderman was surprised that he was still alive after that.

Wow, so Superman was just annoyed afterwards and looked to go some more.

The narration spoke of PC Superman's (yes, circa 1981) limp body, "Miles away, across the Metropolitan river, his limp body plunges to Earth, slamming brutally into the hard concrete of a bustling pier..." PC Superman came back two pages later. Basically it was as much a ko as Blue Marvel ko'ing Sentry.

And PC Superman suspected that Hulk was playing possum to spring a trap, "I don't like this -- he's lying too still! I didn't think I hit him that hard! A brute like that couldn't be planning a trap -- could he?" It was a cheapshot borne from underestimating Savage Hulk's understated cunning.

Anyway, it's an irrelevant crossover.
