Yoda has never done so because he doesnt need to. He can dodge blasters or use his saber to repel them. That doesnt mean he cant.
Just because it wasnt shown on screen doesnt mean that the character is limitted to this.

Yoda had to be saved by clones in the Star Wars clone wars series. He uses his abilities and precog to anti pirate the attacks and use his skills as best he can.
If you don't have an example then it isn't supported in character.
