Yeah, it was great. Faora made Clark his ***** lol. She was much more of a warrior then Zod. Despite not being able to fly she was kicking his ass because Clark sucked at fighting and they had combat training. Instead of using that to his advantage, he started going power for power with Superman, dumb. At least that Nam-Ek guy seemed to be physically stronger then Clark due to his size.

Did you think Faora was hot? lol

BTW, I like Faora's battle moves. She knows how to fight!

Leviathan easyily did so while Hulk easily owned one. He was fine. Superman needed Jor Els help and barely did so.

Hulk is more powerul than someone whose greatest strength feats have to do with flight and durability as opposed to the Hulk. Tower was too much for him.

That shows you the difference between the two.

This is why I like you quan, you are the comic relief around here.

Other than that

Superman owns!

Superman (Mos) has no combat skills

Anyone with durablitiy will catch on to this and get him..
Even Hulk has better fighting skills than Supes..

Thor is leagues abovechim in combat..Leagues

Yeah man. I'd tap that hard.

Yeah, she's been trained. But I highly disagree with Zack thinking she has better hand to hand skills than Thor. That's just not true.

Here's a glimpse at the Faora/Superman scuffle with commentary from Snyder for those who haven't seen the movie yet:

Go watch it, it's awesome.

I don't think we have seen enough from both of them to fully judge.

Is it just me or does using heat vision hurt them? It's like it burns them too or something.

Don't think so, Clark used it when he was in the closet at school and when he tunneled through the ice to reach the scout shit, and he was just screaming when he was engaging Faora and Namek.

Forgot about those.

But I swear to god it looked like Zod was hurting from the heat vision in the building and Clark was hurting when he melted that girder.

Maybe at high intensity it gets uncomfortable. Whatever, it just stood out to me as interesting. I like how Kryptonian powers were realistically portrayed.

"One of the things we were hoping to depict is that Superman is not a god. We say he’s a god-like figure but he’s not omnipotent. Even in the comic books he cannot save everyone. I think people die [in Metropolis]. Clearly hundreds if not thousands of people have died while the gravity machines are going off. There were probably even people who died in Smallville.

When you’re dealing with a threat like this, there will be collateral damage. This is something that hadn’t been depicted in comic book films is what it would be like if these powerful figures did clash, if The Hulk and Thor fought, people would probably die. Particularly in this case where Zod and the Kryptonians really don’t care if people die. I think people died and I’m sure that upsets some people."

I'm going to pretend I didn't read that and Superman used his X-ray to make sure any building he knocked Zod into was evacuated or Goyer was only referring to the Gravity machine.

It might be that it hurts at first but then eventually they learn to control/handle it.

That is a fairly interesting point he makes and I got to admit that I've thought about it.

I agree with you about Superman using x-ray and all that. Better to have him bieng full-blown super heroic. I give him a pass because it was his first outing as Superman.

I noticed that too.

In the MOS iOS game, Superman seems to get hurt when using his heat vision too.

It's a very interesting take on his powers even though some Superman fans might not like it cough*abhi*cough

That makes no sense though because as he just reminded me, baby Clark used it just fine and he did so when excavating the craft as well.

Found a stream and yea, Zod was screaming in pain when he was unleashing heat vision. And right after Superman melts the girder, he visibly winces in pain, letting down his guard and it's how Zod put hims down. He also screams (In pain or perhaps anger) when he uses it against Faora/Nam-Ek.

So I'm going with high intensity hurting them. I like it, adds an interesting twist to the ability, making it a double edged sword.

Give this stream NOWZ

Oh and of course you'll like it. Anything that can be used against them is good, isn't it?

You dirty Thorbag. I know what you and your kind are up to! uhuh

You will not win. For every con you find. We'll find a million pros. biscuits

I don't think Marvel would go that route, their Universe isn't like the Man of Steel one. It's more comic book like in that collateral damage is minimized. Besides, even the Hulk isn't a murderer. Kind of funny that the Hulk was able to put down his opponent without resorting to murder but Superman couldn't. Also pisses me off somewhat.

I'm not because Superman wouldn't either. So I'm going to just pretend.

Enjoy.

Doesn't really have anything to do with that. It makes using heat vision a tactical move, forcing him to decide whether it's worth the moment of weakness or not. I like it. Otherwise why not go around flying and heat visioning everything to death? Especially since Kryptonians seem to be more vulnerable to concentrated energy then blunt force.

Lol, okay.

Agreed. It bugs me too.

That throw made me lose it in the theatre. DAMN we NEED more action like THIS in Superhero movies to come!

This thread also needs to be shifted to the Movies VS Forum.
