Because like I said, Doom didn't appear to gain mastery over Surfer's powers, he just appeared to be very skilled in a short amount of time. For example, He appeared to lack Surfer's durability entirely.

Like I just said, Doom hasn't had NEARLY the time and experience Surfer had with the board. There really isn't much of a basis to suggest that because it worked on Doom that it would work on Surfer. And besides, if Clark bullrushes, whose to say Surfer doesn't just board trap him? That's still a viable tactic.

Physical force removed Doom from the board. Doom had Surfer's powers. It is true Doom was not as adept as Surfer, but the evidence of physical force being capable of removing a user from the board is there.
People were making it look like it just wasn't possible and the evidence suggests otherwise.
Still Surfer has intangibility.

I think they explained the board was the source of his power, using this reference it means Doom with board was as powerful as SS with board if not even more as you will be adding Dooms power to the equation. Maybe not as experienced as the SS, but as powerful, I honestly could not say.
Just watched Man of Steel again. F*cking awesome movie imho. Just badass. I paid more attention to all that fanboy faggotry this time.
I think Superman at the end of the movie fully realized of his power would take any Avenger one on one, even Hulk or Thor. His speed and flight maneuverability is just too much of an advantage. Even against Thor who can fly, his power being innate instead of tying into Mjolnir makes it his fight. But if he tries trading blows with Hulk or gets tangled up with him like against Nam-Ek, he'd be in serious trouble imho. And if Thor hits him with Mjolnir or even worse, a lightning-charged Mjolnir shot/lightning bolt, it would hurt, bad. The Kryptonian's were far from invulnerable, rocking and stunning them wasn't particularly difficult but keeping them down is, sturdy bastards. That's in regards to beings on their physical level like Thor. Their is an obvious threshold where they can just be flat knocked out.
The scene I was thinking off earlier was actually the Kryptonian ship, it's blast was what knocked Superman down and hurt him, not bullets.
Regarding the Faora scene, I paid attention and I don't think the sensory input had anything to do with her knock out. Her helmet was still on and it was blinking in and out. She briefly got her senses overloaded but when the missile hit she seemed completely coherent like when she talked Kal-EL.
Surfer would f*ck Superman up though, he's just too much for any non-Reeves movie superhero.

Hulk is more powerul than someone whose greatest strength feats have to do with flight and durability as opposed to the Hulk. Tower was too much for him.

Yeah, it was great. Faora made Clark his ***** lol. She was much more of a warrior then Zod. Despite not being able to fly she was kicking his ass because Clark sucked at fighting and they had combat training.
