What about Batman's story do you like and what do you hate about Cap's?
His motivation is that his parents were killed and instead of dealing with it in a healthy manner, he basically becomes the poster child for anti-social control freaks and dedicates his life to fighting crime as a vigilante.
Granted he does a lot a good, but he isn’t exactly all that mentally stable.

He's an anti-social control freak who is mentally unstable and routinely pushes away those that care for him, those aren’t traits that people should like…they’re traits that should make you feel sorry for him and hope that his loved ones can reach him before it’s too late.
