Your bat-hate is certainly something. If we go by your logic, I could rip any character to shreds. Its called "the suspension of belief". Maybe your hugh jackman glasses hinder your brains too.
You can rip most comic book characters apart pretty easily, which is why a prefaced by original statement by stating that Wolverine is one of the best characters in literature, not comics. It is a rarity for a comic book character in the superhero genre to be anywhere near as fleshed out and developed as Wolverine. He has flaws. He has pathos. He is riddled with inconsistencies, but all of those inconsistencies are well defined, integral to the character, fallow a set of internal logic unique to the character and ultimately serve to make him human. There is only a handful of characters in comics that are on par with Wolverine from a characterization stand point, Batman isn't one of them. Wolverine isn't a great comic book character, he is just a great character.
If a character doesn't make sense, then they don't make sense. If you need to make allowances for them not making sense... then they aren't a good character.

BTW, where do you rank Nolan in today's industry? Top 10-20?
I don't know I'd need to sit down and think about it. I was largely being facetious in my mocking of him (but he does need to address everything I mentioned) but he is a good director on the whole. Like a worse David Fincher or something.

Yeah, I'd peg Fincher over Nolan.

I could rip wolverine apart like you did batman but I don't hate wolverine like you hate batman, so meh.
A character doesn't have to make sense to you and your twisted logic to be a great character. You think wolverine is the GREATESTEST EVAH? Fine. But don't think you're the authority on this matter and everybody has to listen to you. I like wolverine and still think he's one of the most overrated, incompetent, little thought out and ridiculous character ever. I don't need your stamp of approval to think that and frankly neither does anybody else. Your own bias towards wolverine makes your reasoning not objective.

I can tell you why Batman is a bad character, and you can offer no rebuttal other than "You need to suspend your disbelief!" That's not a rebuttal. That's nothing. You could try to rip apart Wolverine, and I would correct you because unlike you, I actually know what I'm talking about.

Whatever bro. As long as Batman kicks Wolverine's ass in terms of comics qualities and character development, a wolverine fanboy like you can hate him for all eternity and I couldn't care less. You are not Stan Lee bro, deal with it.

There is no other explanation, nothing I've said about Batman can be refuted. You've made it abundantly clear you have nothing of merit to say on this matter... so why do you keep responding? My argument is based on points that I laid out, if you are going to say I'm wrong, you need to try and refute what I said or shut up and don't bother.
Batman comics haven't kicked Wolverine's ass in quality since 1986, and never have in terms of character development (Batman would need some character development for that to happen). Wolverine is in a particularly amazing place right now in terms of quality and characterization with Remender's Uncanny Avengers, Aaron's Wolverine and the X-Men, Cornell's Wolverine, Well's Savage Wolverine (and the upcoming Jock run), Starr's Wolverine MAX; right now the Wolverine line blows Batman's out of the water.
Batman is - with out question - the least interesting character in almost all his stories, but the Bat-family is fascinating and made up of some of the best characters in super hero comics. James Gordon. Dick Grayson. Tim Drake. Truly amazing characters. Hell the best Batman story ever told doesn't even involve Bruce Wayne, but rather Dick with the Batmantle.

Let's not turn this into a who's a better character debate, because this is a vs thread. Everyone has their own opinion on who is a better character, so nothing good or conclusive will come out of it.Bitches. 😛
Even anyone wants to debate me on the matter I can prove my stance pretty definitively. I could write a 170 page dissertation on why Wolverine is the greatest comic book character while standing on my head.
I can also tell you why Batman and Superman are both terrible characters. 😎

I want a 15 page report by the end of the weekend. On my front porch.
