Curryman's Meta-Amalgam Tourney!

Sounds borderline. The ones we've included were closer to completion, and there have been a couple others that never made it, but they were in the very early stages.

Meh, I'll do some digging. Maybe once this tourney's over and I'm updating the thread to include it.

btw Blair, you've been listed as a judge for Chipguy vs Id's match, in case I forgot to tell you 🙂

Well, 5 posts is not a large amount. And I tried to present my case the best I could without getting too repetitive.

People used to have 5 posts a day in matches that lasted a week or two. They were a mess. Post limits didn't exist for the majority of our history, and I think 5 is as little as they've ever been for a full-scale tourney.

I may actually petition curry to increase it to 6 or 7 for the semis and finals. We could do with a bit of an expansion.

Even as a non native English speaker myself. I love the 5 post limit.

It forces members to be more direct, and with less strawmans. It also forces members to say the most you can, using the least amount of words.

There's definitely going to be an increase in posts for the semis, and there will be 5 judges a match then (I wish).

I'm also kind of tempted to have a higher post count in the winner's bracket and lower one in the loser's bracket. ¨

Let me work on scrounging up some judges for the charlotte/beatboks match, as I think our current staff might be stretched to capacity. You old-timers are free to use some of your forum-clout to get a couple more, if you please ^^

I can try to recruit a few. Not sure how successful I'll be though.

Yeah give us a list of Judges, and we can make suggestions.

Let's see, so far we have;

Bentley, Delph, Blair, Me, Omega Vision, Jake, PR, Galan and Danborgson.

I can't remember whether or not KM and Endless Mike had the time.

That's actually not terrible. 9 confirmed is 3 matches worth of judges. If we can confirm the others and get 1-2 more, that might be as many as we can hope for. I think the most any tourney has ever had is about 12.

If none have started their reading/verdicts then perhaps I can get them to switch to Charlotte vs Beatboks' match.
