Darkness is high meta? He's listed as low herald in the current tiers thread.
Planet wrecking would likely be a prerequisite once you're at low herald, at least for amalgams (it would be somewhat harder as a team, though not impossible). Mid-to-high, and you start to find characters who can wreck planets on their own. So if this is a low herald amalgam, it's impressive but not necessarily tourney-busting.

Powers: OMAC Unit.
With bastion being a Nimrod-Master Mold Hybrid comes in handy. I figured the cupling of Eye/OMAC would yield great results. Just an awesome piece of hardwear to counter mutants/Metahumas.
Well that and fantastic abiltiy to assimilate anything.

This could be a good swiss army knife for countering others. I think you might have challenges again on power levels (Nimrod is low herald, yeah? I don't know where Bastion would be), but the idea is sound.
So many teams have a mutant on their roster in this thing. I would've loved to see everyone's faces if someone picked Leech.

Ya'll are addicts. I enter a lot of these things, but it's always followed by months of not wanting to enter one ever again. Each tourney is like stretching out increasingly-sore muscles due to all the time I've spent in them.
The only reason I entered this one was because it was high meta, which is by far my favorite tier to debate at.

Well, we tend toward one of a few levels. Overwhelmingly, tourneys held are either high herald, high meta, or low meta. Several were multi-level (I think exclusively when Evangel hosted).
Only one tourney at another definite level ever finished (Mid herald - Leo won over Smurph in the finals). Kandy tried a low herald tourney not too long ago, but it died in the water.
And technically the "Modified street" tourney wasn't low meta, but only because we didn't have the terminology for it at that time. Same with the "Under Thanos" tourney...technically 1-2 picks may have dipped into Trans, but 90% of the picks were straight out of mid or high herald.
Long story short, we like those three levels.

I always wanted a Trans. tourney. Maybe two characters on a team. No prep at all, but NO in-match restrictions. Time manip., matter manip., reality warping, speed force, dimensional stuff, whatever. Pity the judges. Pity them.
The best multi-level tourney EVER was Delph's Champions' League. From street to high meta, extending through the whole comfort zone of mine. Good times, damn it.
That's why I am rehashing an amalgam from it in this tourney. Cause good stiff is good.
The second season was to include low heralds but it never happened🙁
i'd like to run or participate in an anything-goes tournament. i think that would be fun. it would be cool to allow things like matter/reality manip on opponents for once, allow the creation of the craziest inventions....just use your imagination to the fullest and see who can come up with the best crazy and who could defend against the best crazy. i'd have a blast with that.....
On a related note, I need to rearrange the "tourneys entered" list in the respect thread to only include tourneys that finished. 2-3 that are listed never finished, and it's not necessarily fair to have, say, 5 tourneys entered for a person if only 2 finished. Say they haven't won anything...it looks like they're 0/5 instead of 0/2. This won't affect everyone, and it's small in the scheme of things, but meh.
Also, how far did Kandy's low herald tourney get? Should we list it in the tourney respect thread? Or was it barely out of drafts?
