The point is she was clearly operating on a level of power exponentially beyond her normal strength levels. In later comics, it was even alluded to that she'd reached Hulk's level. Anyways, had Champion not been wearing the gem, anyone among Surfer, Gladiator or BRB could have beat his ass faster than Shulkie did.

So her normal levels since she has been said to be near hulk level several times before that. She doesn't get as strong when she got as angry though.
Thor didn't actually beat Champion who according to you wasn't wearing the gem.
