To be fair though WB has given us reasons time and time again to be pessimistic about the future of their DC properties. They've given us something Optimistic with MOS. But their history is still against them at this point.
I understand that as much as anyone, but WB is under new managment and they have shown great interest in building the DC characters. Both Silverman and Kevin are taking action. Now if we dont hear any new announcments by the time comic con is around then ill get worried. But we still have that Rpck project and possibly Metal men, SHAZAM and numerous vertigo ones as well.

I honestly hate the jacket and pants costume for Diana. Sure, arguments of sexism will pop up, but even so, I still think it's a bad look for her.I wouldn't mind something closer to the comics; being as close to the comics as possible can almost never be a bad thing, imo.
MOS, for me, was an indication that things had changed. I hope they don't **** this up, because i'm just hanging on with Marvel at this point.
Hey, you're two sides of the same coin. It happens.
Eh, as much as that guy might have a point, comics has one of the most loyal, and rabid, fanbases of anything in the world. Comic fans are always going to have high expectations, because for a lot of them, they've been reading comics for years, and become invested in that time.
Take me for example: On KMC i'm basically a broken record by this point, talking about how much I ****ing hate X1 and X2. I'm definitely in the minority, but I don't care, because I've been reading X-Men since I was eight years old. X-Men is my favourite fictional property in the world, and when I watched those two movies (though moreso X2), I was left wondering WTF Singer had done to my favourite comic-book team, AND my favourite character.
In the run up to DOFP, I expected QS to be shit, because lets be fair, that magazine cover looked shit. I expected a movie like X2, and was worried as hell that i'd never see a good X-Men movie now that Vaughn had left. Thankfully though, Vaughn's influence remained, and DOFP was great.
I don't apologise for wanting comic book movies to be the best they can be. I want the best Superman, the best Batman, the best X-Men we can get. I'm sure a part of the "hate" for BvS is down to that same sentiment. Or at least, that's what I'd hope.
You didnt like X2?! 😱

My favourite X-Men are Cyclops, Colossus, Psylocke, Iceman and Emma Frost. You do the math. 😛
Seriously though, I have a list of things that bug me about the first two movies, some Cyclops related, some not. I'm not going to say that they're terrible movies, but I will argue that they're terrible adaptations of the lore.

I'll wait until I've at least seen a trailer for BvS before I get excited about that and any future JL movies tbh. And I'll wait to actually see 1 of these other projects on the big screen before I get all excited about the extended DCCU.
Because they have to give us some Quality and different projects to get excited about. We had MOS last year which was certainly a step in the right direction, but they're not giving us anything else for another 2 years : (
Their uncertainty gets to me the most. Announcing BvS was coming in 2015 was really exciting. But then hearing about all the cameos in that film, and finally hearing it's been delayed by a year just took all that away from me again.
The DC Tv Universe however has a lot to be excited about right now.

I personally really enjoyed X2 as a movie. Nightcrawler in particular was Awesome in that movie (but we never saw him again).
But I know exactly what Pr means. Despite X2 being great as a movie, I had no love for the X-Men movie franchise before First Class. They did really screw up the whole Lore. Those first 3/4 movies seemed like they were just designed to make a star out of HUgh Jackman.
Now I love Jackman as an actor, and am glad X-Men made him. But if the first 3 films focused mainly on Wolverine and Cyclops both, then I personally think not only would that have gone such a long way to being more representative of the X-Men Lore, but they just would have been much better movies.
They could have done some really interesting stuff by exploring the different ways Scott and Logan see the world, and with the whole Scott, Jean, Logan triangle as well.

If Kevin Smith is right, I think WB HAS a plan, which is why BVS was delayed to begin with. I think they've had their plan for awhile and I'm pretty excited.

Plans are great, but until we see something real and tangible, I just can't get my hopes up too much. I believe Snyder knows what he's doing, but until I see a trailer, at best I'm cautiously optimistic.

I kind of want a new X-Men cartoon so we can get a more true to the comic adaptation. Were about due a new cartoon anyway.
I wouldn't mind a new one, tbh. The anime and WATXM weren't terrible, but we need more.

The game should be good, I just want to see actual gameplay. That trailer was so misleading.

The plan can't have been their that long considering BvS was announced about what 10 months ago? Whilst the delay was announced 4 months ago. Which to me sounds like this plan can't be more than 6 months old (if that's why it was delayed).

Whos to say they couldnt have had a plan before BVS?

They could have, but then why was BvS delayed by a year? Clearly whatever plans they had 10 months ago when BvS was announced for 2015, were not compatible with whatever revised plasma they had 4 months ago when BvS was delayed until 2016.
Supposedly the reason it was delayed was because they needed to finalize everyone who was going to be in the movie. Some people were unclear, because of their schedules. At least that's what I read on another board and it does make sense.
Here is a link I found on the matter.

That might be all well and good. But rumors are one thing. What I'm saying is that if WB wants to gain the trust of fans (like myself) and the GA who want these superhero movies, then they should have made a clear statement about why it was delayed. A statement that made everyone say "oh ok fair enough, they couldn't have forseen that."
That's why I was really hoping it was down to an injury or something, because that's just one of those unforseen events.
But when they say, "Oh we didn't realize how complex the visual effects would be," then people are just thinking they don't know what they are doing and that they don't have things properly planned out.
