Rumor has it, Snyder is looking for a 40 year old, experienced Hal. Pine doesn't fit that.

I'd prefer Fillion as Hal myself.

I see where they're going with this. Kal will be the new kid on the block.

Well if thats the case, Fillion fanboys may finally have their prayers answered if they cast him as Hal

Nathan Fillion voiced Steve Trevor in that animated Wonder Woman film and has voiced Hal on many different occasions.

Guy is blowing up. He needs to slim down a lot for any superhero role right now. Plus he's getting older.

the only job he needs is that show castle and nothing more

Way to be optimistic, Bruce.

He could do it. And all he'd need to play Hal would be to play Malcolm Reynolds again. He could do it imo.

I don't really want him in the role but cant help but feel the only good reason one would want to go for an older Hal is to try and get someone like fillion. I don't like the idea of an older hal here much as it is.

To be fair, Gadot is hardly known for her acting ability. They really should have taken their casting of such an iconic character more seriously.

But what's done is done now, so here's hoping for the best.

well she has to prove she can though....

I don't want an older Hal anyway.. IMO, the Hal Jordan train ended when Green Lantern crashed and horridly burned so now I won't be at all surprised if indeed Tyrese has been signed on play John Stewart and WB is just staying silent on that until they feel the need to finally say..

I think she's really going to surprise us. Word has it, she steals the show in BVS.

Cavill wasn't that well known either, and he did fine.

So why not give her the benefit of the doubt until we see more?

This is coming from Gail Simone's twitter, which was deleted, BTW.

Also, here’s a thing. Someone I trust told me that Wonder Woman in Superman/Batman is way, WAY better treated than we were hoping.

They said Wonder Woman is an absolute highlight of the film. — GAIL SIMONE (@GailSimone) April 13, 2015

I am just passing that along, but they were very, very pumped about Diana’s role in that movie.

Heresay. Gail Simone heard from someone else.

Btw, Henry Cavill had terrific credentials before being cast as superman. He led that awesome TV show The Tudors, he did lots of action and drama and he was an established leading man with loads of talent, potential and the right look.

Gal Gadot has never led in any significant project and most of her acting roles have been supporting. Her only notability is as a model, not an actress. She should still get the benefit of the doubt though, but her credentials pale in comparison to Henry Cavills' before superman.

Cavill had more acting experience. He was getting dat acting work under the radar. Gadot only has fast and the furious. She wasn't bad, but not much was expected from that role. There's less of a guarantee with her.
