Russian's different because he becomes a totally different nationality. Changing Colossus from Russian to American(for instance) was really bad, because he's one of those characters that shows the X-Men's acceptance of everyone.
But if a different color man suits a White man's role, then why not?
Unless you think making Nick Fury Black was wrong? I know that was done in the comics first, but so what?

🙄 i know .... Its called the Ultimate universe.
So you don't mind them changing it in a comic line first, but you have an issue if the first time they change it is in a movie?
What's the difference?

Converting Nick Fury to Samuel L. Jackson: priceless.
I think it would be just as priceless if Denzel played Lex tbh.

Well with the comic its set in stone but with a movie seems they're doing it for the hell of it or whatever the movie studio's reason is.
and no i'm not trying to be racist before you bring that up.

Lol wasn't going to bring up the racist card. Just talking about the changes that we as comic book fans would and wouldn't be comfortable with.

The Ultimate universe was Marvel's unofficial dry run for an actual running cinematic universe - to see how it worked if they tie the destinies of several characters together (the Hulk came about as a result of research into the defunct super soldier program), and increased the multicultural diversity of the cast (Nick Fury goes from being visually based on the coolest guy in the 1960's - Dean Martin - to the coolest guy of the 2000's - Samuel L. Jackson) and modernizing a few other things. The resulting universe (Earth-199999) is kind of a merging of the two.
THANK the heavens!
Warner Bros. is bringing Argo writer Chris Terrio into the Batman-Superman universe.

Also, I would prefer this choice instead of Denzel, but both would do well.

That is good news. Now, if they could only recast Wonder Woman.....

and if he's good, im sure you'll take it back 😛
I didn't realise how much of a Batman fan Affleck was. Hopefully he's in this to portray Batman like his comic book counterpart - World's Greatest Detective e.t.c.
He needs something like that to prove useful next to Superman Imo, (as well as giving comic book fans what we want 😛).
