Well it can do if they screw up Batman after him being so popular on the big screen over the last decade, and all the rumors of different Leaguers showing up doesn't inspire confidence either. Nor does the casting of WW.But still, if they get this right, it will be Huge! These are the 2 biggest and most well known superheroes in the world. And Wonder Woman is the biggest female name in the superhero world.
What is so bad about having different leaguers in the movie? Its still goin to make money, seeing as MOS made more money than any marvel movie other than, avengers and IM 3.
Btw, i have faith in snyders/afflecks direction.

Damni! Anyway, how is fox copying their fornula?
Puttting the original X-Men trilogy cast together with the new X-Men prequel cast in Days of Future Past.
When we were first hearing about that movie being in the early stages of production Singer said "I think there's a desire from people to see all these franchises come together." - A statement bascially admitting we're trying to copy Marvel's formula for mega-success.
And now they're planning to do FF films and then do a film where they crossover X-Men and FF.

I personally would just prefer a Batman/Superman movie. I don't mind them putting in WW as well. But last thing I want is for this movie to some kind of huge trailer for the Justice League.
Bats/Supes on it's own could rival Avengers if done right Imho.

It's been said that it's primarily a Superman movie, with some small cameos of the other members sprinkled through. A build up to the JL movie. So, people wanting just a Superman sequel will get just that. They already had a GL movie, which didn't do so well and a Dark Knight trilogy. That's enough for me.

Well I hope Batman has a really big part in it. Since it has been marketed as a Superman/Batman movie, and also because they need sufficient screen time to introduce the rebooted Batman IMO.

They should do 1 more. The Flash or Wonder Woman. I'd go for the Flash at this point, since WW will be introduced in MOS2.
Plus with the GL movie flopping, they need something more to add excitement to JL, and they need to show they can do a good superhero movie which isn't Superman or Batman.
But that's just my opinion.

I think people are freaking out too soon. As has been already pointed WB has already said this is stil going to be a Superman film primarily.
i highly doubt that.. that is just WB trying to assuage people's fears about this film being ALL about Affleck and less about Cavil .. IMO cameo appearances from other members of JL is much better than having the whole team in the film .. WB should just have them do 5 maybe 10 minutes of screen time which is long enough to tell fans "watch out here comes the Justice League".. then do a solo film, whether its Flash, John J'onnzz or someone else as Green Lantern to help set up the huge thread i.e. Darkseid that they will face in the Justice League film

There is no specific formula that works for everyone at any given time. Just because they do one more doesn't mean it will be more profitable or better quality JL movie. Nobody can see this.
At this point, I'll just agree to disagree. I'll put you down on the list for this movie to not be good. When the time comes, we'll see.

In terms of being more profitable, Avengers proved that is the more profitable route to take. In terms of quality, that's a completely independent issue. All I'm saying is I'd personally have more confidence in their proposed JL plans if they'd shown us they can make a successful movie out of other characters who are not Batman or Superman.

Hey end of the day half these characters just sell themselves. They're much bigger names than the ones on the Avengers roster. So as long as they have a good script and director then of course it can be a Great film. And it could be Huge. And I damn well hope it will be.
I'm just sharing my opinion that I personally think they're rushing a Justice League film if they go straight into it with Superman being the only one with a solo film.
Heck even Henry Caville said in an interview that he thinks solo films first would be the best way to go about Justice League. Doesn't mean that either him or me are expecting JL to be bad.
I think the Avengers would be profitable either way. Having one example isn't proof enough, IMO.
Right now there is too much risk to reboot a GL movie and a Flash movie. Let alone a WW movie. Those are risks that probably won't get much attention at the box office.
However, show them in with Batman/Superman and that can CREATE more interests for the characters, so when they do launch their own solos, they can make more money.

It was he 3rd biggest movie of all time. That wasn't just because they put a bunch of random heroes together. We've already had that with things like Watchmen and X-Men. It was because they made each one popular individually, and then put them together to make a box office super beast.
The only reason JL will probably still be a success without doing that is because it has much bigger names that sell themselves really- Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman.
But I don't understand why they're rushing for their successful JL movie, when they could potentially make it the biggest movie of all time with some patience.

The only risk I see there is a Green Lantern reboot. Why would Wonder Woman or The Flash be a bigger risk than the original Thor or Iron Man. It's only such a huge risk if they still can't figure out how to put together a superhero movie without Superman and Batman.
If they know they can't do that, then yeah I agree they might as well just jump straight into JL, after Superman/Batman.

I think they should focus on the big 3 first- Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. If they get those 3 right, then they can add whoever they want to Justice League, and it will only add to the appeal. But those 3 are the base members who need to be solidly established before we're crowded with all sorts of other League potentials IMHO.
But to each his own on the best way to go about this I guess.
I honestly feel like it's being rushed. I think not giving at least half of the actual roster their own movie, to develop them and let people get familiar with them, is a mistake.
A Superman movie, even a Superman and Batman movie, is not the same as a proper Batman movie. Same goes for Wonder Woman.
Nobody is saying give all six/seven potential members their own movie. I still think it's an absolutely MASSIVE gamble to not give at least three of them solo movies to build up a following.
I'm worried about this, I really am. It could pay off. They could hit all the right notes and it could be epic. I just don't think it's as likely as them ****ing it up.

Man WB needs to get their head out of their @sses. We have to wait another year for this film. DC deserves to get crushed by Marvel.
Huh?
I still don't understand why WB wont give DC Comics their own studio. We have to wait two years from now (three years total) for Batman/Superman with no other core members officially getting a movie in that time span!
Despite this news being a bummer, this will give WB time to cast everyone for the movie, recast other characters if they have to, and get the story right. In the meantime, can we please get some work done on potential Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, and Aquaman movies. The wait is agonizing!
