As previously stated, Iron Man gave me what I wanted to hear (wasn't expecting it) by mentioning Avengers. Man of Steel gave us some easter eggs, but we still don't have any [B] OFFICIAL SOLO MOVIE ANNOUNCEMENTS for Justice League characters not named Superman or Batman.

Saying the Rock could play someone isn't doing it for me, neither are unspecific announcements for lower budget DC characters before unspecific announcements for Justice League ones (that Is backwards) or announcing Cw shows if their connection to Man of Steel is still being debated behind closed doors. Fair enough. You finally get what I'm saying. As for the future? Who knows? Hopefully, we get something at Comic Con. I never once stated that we'll get Aquaman or Hawkman or Green Lantern or whatever, but Kevin has delivered in other mediums and he SEEMS not to be ****in around. He actually seems serious about expanding the DC Cinematic universe, so I'm expecting a WW (since Gadot is signed for a 3 picture deal) solo and POSSIBLY a NEW Green Lantern movie.

Hell, Goyer is on contract to do a few other movies, IIRC and he WANTS to do another GL movie as posted by Variery today.

Also, MOS is doing extremely well in AMC's March Movie Madness. It's in the final 4. It's obviously going to be Avengers/TDK, but MOS beat Spider-Man in the polls, which was impressive. 🙂

YouTube video

I like how John Shnep (?) mentioned a similar thing about the DCCU that was released by the NY Times. 🙂

I respect all opinions, but I can't accept opinions without proper evidence. Things you never give.

Same here. 😂

Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Oscar®-winning actress Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey of “300: Rise of an Empire,” and Tao Okamoto of “The Wolverine” have joined the cast of the upcoming Zack Snyder untitled Superman/Batman film. The announcement was made today by Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, and Sue Kroll, President, Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures.

All three actors will play characters newly created for the film.

Snyder stated, “Holly has always been one of my favorite actresses; she has immense talent and is always captivating on screen. I had an opportunity to meet her a while back and knew instantly that I had to work with her, so as we began writing the script I made sure to create a role specifically for her.

“I just had the good fortune to work with Callan on ‘300: Rise of an Empire’ and was very impressed with his incredible talent,” the director continued. “He’s a fantastic actor and I’m looking forward to having the chance to work with him again. And, quite simply, Tao is a striking presence whose beauty is aptly rivaled by her amazing abilities as an actress. I’m really excited to have her joining us on this adventure.”

Hunter received the Academy Award® and a Golden Globe Award for her starring role in Jane Campion’s “The Piano.” She also garnered Oscar® nominations for her work in “Broadcast News,” “The Firm” and “Thirteen.” She has starred in such films as the Coen brothers’ “Raising Arizona” and “O Brother, Where Art Thou?,” Steven Spielberg’s “Always,” Lasse Halström’s “Once Around,” Jodie Foster’s “Home for the Holidays” and Brad Bird’s animated hit “The Incredibles.” Hunter was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award® when she reunited with Campion for the TV miniseries “Top of the Lake.” She next appears in David Gordon Green’s “Manglehorn” and in Terrence Malick’s upcoming feature.

Australian-born Mulvey stars in the current box office hit “300: Rise of an Empire,” produced by Snyder. He also appeared in Kathryn Bigelow’s “Zero Dark Thirty,” and will next be seen in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”

In addition to “The Wolverine,” Okamoto also appeared in the video “The Wolverine: The Path of a Ronin,” and in the Japanese television miniseries “Chi no wadachi.”

Are you talking about the AMC March Madness? MOS made the final four which is pretty awesome.

Yah. I was bored to tears in MoS while spiderman has some of my favorite movie memories. The AMC voters have odd opinions

Odd? Nah, they have different opinions than you. I mean they both have the same score on IMDB after all. I prefer Spiderman 2 as well though.

It beat Spidey 2? I thought it was 1. Spidey 2 is one of my favs in the super hero genre, but MOS is as well. Close call for me.

Wow, MOS got a bunch of votes against TDK. Didn't think it would do that well against it.

Biased Superman fanboys.

IGN interviewed David Goyer and you can read it here:

It still looks like WB has no overarching plan going forward. SMH.

Is a bit worrying how many times Goyer said "I don't know" there. He's not instilling confidence in me at all. They need people with a more clear vision running the show.

To be fair, Goyer isn't running DC. He's just a writer and occasional producer.
