It still looks like WB has no overarching plan going forward. SMH.

that's WB for you

Is a bit worrying how many times Goyer said "I don't know" there. He's not instilling confidence in me at all. They need people with a more clear vision running the show.

him saying that just tells me he might be keeping secrets which i hope turns out to be something good and very positive

Hmm. Who will move first?

Following yesterday’s confirmation that Marvel Studios/Disney will release their third installment to the Captain America franchise on May 6, 2016, the very same day that Warner Bros. currently plans to release its Man of Steel follow-up Batman vs. Superman, Bloomberg has received comment from the latter studio on the potential 2016 comic book movie showdown. “It doesn’t make a lot of sense for two huge superhero films to open on the same date but there is a lot of time between now and 5/6/16,” said Dan Fellman, the president of domestic distribution for Warner Bros. “However at this time, we are not considering a change of date for Batman vs. Superman.”

not a surprise that Holly Hunter could be Leslie Thompkins or a variation of her

Man of Steel, which was 2013′s third best-selling Blu-ray according to the story (behind Despicable Me 2 and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey), generated more than $69 million on the format, compared to about $49 million for Iron Man 3. What’s significant about that separation is that Man of Steel sold nearly twice what Iron Man 3 did (more than 2.7 million units, compared to less than 1.5 million).

Congrats to MOS being the third best selling on Blue Ray. It's going to get a lot of attention come 2016.

John and the crew talk about the statement made by WB.

nice article regarding batman/superman v. Cap 3...

It would be bad ass if both released on the same weekend.

Maybe, but supes vs bats has way more to lose even if they are #1 that weekend.
If Cap3 is #2, it will take a huge chunk out of SvB.
Cap3 doesn't need to be successful for the marvel cinematic universe to continue churning, on the other hand everything is pretty much riding on SvB success.

David S Goyer is saying its still "Too Early" For a Cohesive DC Cinematic Universe

^ That's fine. In terms of connecting the Big screen and small screen DC Universe they want to wait and see if it's a good idea. That makes sense to me. Because end of the day, as good a show as Arrow is, it only gets like 3 million viewers, so wouldn't really add anything (in terms of financial success) to the big screen movies.

On the other side of the coin though the movies probably would boost the TV Show ratings if that happened.

That's because it's not on one of the big 3 networks. 3 million viewers on the CW is pretty good. The Agents of SHIELD get under 6 million viewers on a major network.

But arrow is about an actual DC hero. AOS is about the marvel (police force) agency.
AOS is more comparable to the new Gotham series coming out than it is to arrow.

Some good news for Man of Steel fans I guess. Home video sales gotta count for something. May help boost interest in the Batman vs Superman film.

I get the reason, the point being it's not been picked up by a big network, and therefore there won't be much motivation for the movies to integrate it's stories.

True. But SHIELD just had it's lowest ratings of the season at 5 million and that was even with the Captain America tie-in.

That's true. And Arrow's last episode only had about 2 million viewers. But it doesn't matter, point is Agents of Shield doesn't market the Marvel Movie brand. It's the other way around.

So as much as I'd love to see Arrow part of the DC Movie verse, there's little financial motivation for them to do that unfortunately.
