The two (aliens and gods) are entirely different. Magic and gods just don't seem to fit into the "gritty" and "realistic" take that MoS took.
What if they include the Justice League Dark into the DC cinematic universe? We're also supposedly be getting a SHAZAM movie, too. Which is what the Rock is linked to.

I read Shazam wasn't going to be connected to the DCCU. No clue on Dark. I'm just speaking from the world MoS built up. Unless they create some dramatic shifts tonally (which I would be perfectly happy with BTW), I really can't see a mythical Wonder Woman fitting into it.
I'm pretty sure that nothing has been confirmed either way, but you could be right.

How is it ruining it?
by changing Diana and turning her into some alien warrior, gross mistake on their part..

I could see wb/dc include this in the script;- Clark: "Big man in a suit of armor. Take that off, what are you?
- Bruce: "Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist"
yep, that line could be in there all right
Well technically Thor is not a god in the MCU just from an ultra advanced alien race (but clearly above regular mortals). I don't remember people complaining about that.
Just as long as the Amazons are not off springs of Kryptonians. I would hate that. And as lond as the mythology of Zeus and Hera are still there, just like Odin still exists in the Thor movie verse.

Its a straight rip off of the MarvelComicUniverse origin of Thor. That why is pretty funny and sad at the same time.
Along with other things that appear to be going in a similar direction MCU. The palpatine , behind the scenes, pulling the strings type villain route Marvel is doing appears to be what wb/dc will do as well.
etc, etc...

Well to be fair Wonder Woman and Thor are similar characters.
And a lot of people speculated this route since they saw MOS trying to be a grounded Universe. I don't really think it's a copy of MCU's Thor tbh. Some things just make more sense when making a shared movie universe. Especially when she's being introduced in MOS, she will have to fit well into that Universe first.

The whole advanced alien race/god thing has been done to death. Marvel didn't invent it.
And that's assuming it's true. It's only a rumor so far.
just like DC didn't invent super heroes.
But if Marvel released a movie on Sentry, and they changed his story around for the movies to ; his home planet being destroyed and him coming to earth as a baby and he gets his powers from the sun, etc. you know damn well you would complain. I would too.
Its just lazy. and uncreative.

Im not tripping yet. I dont even belive thid so called rumor anyway. Like pretty much all the rumors posted thus far, this is more than likely false. WB is doing a good job at keeping everything secret. But if it is true, its all about execution.

Ah it's not THAT much of a copy. And honestly I don't see your general audience seeing this move as a Thor copy. Because she's being introduced in MOS which is all about super powered above mortal aliens.
Marvel Studios has managed to have it both ways with THOR, mixing magic & alien science together so well there is no definite answer about Asgard and the Nine Realms. Thor is both an immortal god and a super-powered alien being. Asgard is place that defies conventional physics with it's shape, and it's longtime relationship with Earth has yet to be fully explained; it's on the other side of the galaxy, yet just a dimensional doorway separates them, like Narnia. Asgardians may have an ancient connection to humanity - Marvel has managed to sidestep all these questions, and the audience is satisfied.
What would make me unhappy is making Diana and the Amazons descendents of a kryptonian colony. That's a cop out. If they are trying to find a way to connect The New Gods with the pantheons of Earth - I might buy that.

I like the grittiness... but do you guys think he looks too buff? Like Dave Batista is Affleck's body double or something.
