um guys KDRAMASTARS is a fictitious site so what they are saying ins;t true

There isn't a single ****ing non-comic reader who knew who Groot was before the Guardians of the Galaxy movie came out. Yet it was a success.

Ironman was a bit more popular but even in the comics he wasn't all that high-profile before Downey Jr. played him. Certainly less high-profile than ****ing Wonder Woman.

You cant be seriously comparing groot (an obscure f-list character) to Wonder Woman, a pop culture icon and one of the most well known super heroes from any company. 😕

His point is that WW doesn't need some extravagant introduction, as most people will know who she is and have basic knowledge going into this film.

My point is that she deserves a bit more respect than a obscure sidekick that gets a few lines of dialog about their origins or a short flash back scene.

Also , again my theory about her origins was spot on (pats myself on the back) and i guess that can work in that universe without much screentime devoted to her origin.

Why though? When people already know the basics and her origins can be covered in 5mins of footage instead of having yet another origins flick where half the film covers what people already know.

Might as well say Affleck Batman needs a large amount of film time dwelling on his backstory, when he doesn't. People already know Bruce is a spoiled kid with severe daddy issues and a hard-on for justice.

I'm hoping they do Batman's backstory in 5mins or less for this. Anything more will be a waste of screen time.

Actually sort of misread Bruce's post, nvm. 👆

Though I don't think Diana needs to have a huge amount of material devoted to her introduction. Five minutes is all that is really necessary, for this specific film.

What she should have is her own ****ing film though. 👆

batman has had like 20 batman films. Wonder woman has had 0.
His origin story has been in our face all the time.

The point is that the rush job is stupid, just to have a product out there as fast as possible.
WB/DC are relying on the name brand of their heroes for the films appeal. Yet they will half ass some of their most popular characters that they are hoping fill up the seats at the theater?
And no it is not the same as GOTG or Xmen.

Anyhow having short origins for anyone not named superman or batman CAN work, BUT its lazy IMO.
its all about the rush job.
wb/dc just wants to cash in as fast as possible because they see the other studio ranking it in.

I'd want Diana to have her own film.

But she isn't going to. At least not yet. Devoting an inordinate amount of time on her origins in this film is going to kill the pacing.

GotG actually tells us that you don't need to devote a large portion of a film to an origins segment though for a character(s) to work. And as Nemo pointed out, people already know a lot more about Wonder Woman than they did about any of the GotG characters.

But fear not, latest leaks tells us that they'll be showing Themyscira and diving into WW's backstory. Let us hope it's a shallow swim, for film time purposes.

I dont want dawn of justice to have a huge part about WW's origin. My point is that WW should have had a film before this movie. But dc/wb has no faith in anything other than supes and batman. Actually pretty much Batman. If anything she should have a small short cameo in this movie. I wasnt even a fan of her being in this movie at all. She should have her own movie afterwards i guess.
This movie was suppose to me MOS2 then batman was thrown in there. Then batman took the main billing in the title from superman. then they started throwing in more and more characters into the mix just to rush out a justice league movie.

a pretty desperate clusterfuq IMO

Yeah especially seen as she's almost as powerful as Superman. You can't just troll around that saying "Oh she's just someone who had powers Obviously!!!"

NO in her case it HAS TO be explained properly.

100% agree with both these sentences.

Not necessarily. It can be explained by Bruce telling Clark "You're not the only one"

Also, WW shrouded in mystery could work to her advantage.

They could take the role of "This is just a world full of super powered heroes/vigilantes" as the plot, kind of like Watchmen.

But that would really be missing the point of something like Justice League.

JL and Avengers are not supposed to just be some random superhero teams. They are supposed to be an Ensemble of Popular Solo franchises. Which Triples the excitement.

So X-Men or GOTG is not an appropriate example Imo. A better example would be the proposed Fantastic Four/X-Men team up. And there's no way they would do that before making separate X-Men films and separate FF films.

Inhuman was spot on when he said making JL just another team movie can work but it's the lazy way out. And it's doing the whole concept of these Crossover Events an Injustice by turning them into just another team movie.

even if Bruce tells Kal "You aren't the only one" still doesn't tell the audience who Diana is ... The audience has to be told who Diana is.. We have to know why a man comes out of the ocean and hates "surface dwellers" .. We have to see how/why Vic Stone becomes Cyborg, etc...

I'm with Inhuman on this, short origins although albeit lazy can work and could very well satiate the people paying their hard earned money when they park their arses in theaters.

Well if this the Batman I believe hm to be then Diana's origin being shrouded in mystery wouldn;t work 😄

Why? Allude to her being a demigod or something is more than enough.

Olsen losing his legs is a gimmick to draw in an audience.

I wish you could see that.
