You mean in "how they look"? so dark grim looking, and tattoos means tougher?
or maybe you mean in "over the top power levels"?
or do you mean in the quality of the film itself will beat the avengers?I know youre trolling but im curious.
shit, now I'm curious.

Reckon he thinks they look bad-ass. And I'm inclined to agree with him
I guess the old marketing strategy of "mean face and tattoos=bad ass "still gets some people.

A Great Director with a passion for the comic book franchise is what's needed. Snyder has the passion but I don't think he's "Great."
Any "great" director will have their flops too.
Point is, Snyder has a good track record for enjoyable films...
I'm not expecting a great Supes/Bats flick...I want an enjoyable one.

i'm very nervous about this project. Something doesn't seem right, for some reason. i'm not sure what it is. Whatever the case is, this will be the flagship of the DC challenge to marvel's reign so i think it HAS to be great.
But there's still not enough official material released to base any qualms & fears....there's only speculation & OPINIONS from everybody posting.
We know the director, the cast & costume design...nothing more.

A bit strange that he was willing to play Batman for multiple movies and get deeply involved with the DCCU but wasn't willing to direct JL.Too bad, but either way I do think it's a mistake relying on Snyder for their 2 biggest projects to get the DCCU going- BvS and JL. I mean he can be a good director but he's no Whedon, Vaughn or Russo brothers.
Batman is his dream role, so taking that in to account, I don't think it's strange at all.

300 was garbage, with pretty fight scenes. Which was basically the problem with MoS, too.I'd like to see someone who knows how to make films in which the entire setting isn't morbidly depressed do a MoS sequel.
Any real problems with 300 stem from the source material, not Snyder imo.

It is kind of obnoxious how washed out all of the promo material is. Worked for Batman because they committed to b/w. This one's aight.
I like it, in the same vein that I liked the MoS Superman suit: It looks less like something some guy made up so he could go out and fight crime/have a secret identity, and more like something his people would wear naturally.
The pic has been desaturated to hell and back so I will have to wait until later to judge the colors, but so far it looks more or less like Aquaman from the 90s. Good work costume designers. 👆

At least with a Great director you know he has the potential to bring something Great.
Just don't think Snyder has that potential tbh. He can certainly do Great action sequences, and has made some Good movies, but Good isn't good enough for the projects he's been entrusted with Imho.
Snyder took a convoluted & tedious graphic novel like The Watchmen & made enough sense of it as a movie. By all reviews, fans of the novel gave him admiration & respect for it....whereas many noted directors had no clue on how to approach the source material.
Personally I have faith he will do his best.

The source material?
Miller didn't write a movie script, he wrote & illustrated a graphic novel without the knowledge or inkling that one day it would be converted into a film.
IMO you can't blame a comic book for not being something that it wasn't meant to be.

Oh I'm sure he will do his best, but then presumably he also did his best with MOS. Which I actually really liked, but I want much better for BvS and JL.
Yes but very few directors get carte blanche to do exactly what they want vs Hollywood execs pulling the strings. Directors easily become the scapegoats when money isn't made.
