Eh, I'd be all right with a small hint, but they do seem like they're rushing ahead when there's really no need. They don't need to "catch" Marvel/Disney at all. They can do their own thing and it, with the right decisions behind it, should be able to stand on it's own, despite what some naysayers might claim.

Don't see it. You really don't need to spend multiple films building him up. Anyway, Thanos appeared in the first Avengers film and it was awesome. One of the highlights of the film.
