Don't see it. You really don't need to spend multiple films building him up. Anyway, Thanos appeared in the first Avengers film and it was awesome. One of the highlights of the film.Based on the fact that all he can really do is punch.

Like I said, city busting threat. He couldn't stop Zod from trashing everything, but it would have been much worse if he hadn't been there. It seemed like he was fighting his hardest to put Zod down, which is the entire point of being a super hero. Your acting like he deliberately killed civilians, which isn't true.
And the military working with him managed to stop the second world engine and kill a few kryptonians in the process. Imagine all the lives that saved. Thats thousands right there
