This film will cross the Billion mark and that will be enough for WB/DC to carry on with their slate without worrying. I personally think it will make something around what Age of Ultron did. But no one will get fired or start crying over "just" 1 Billion.

I'm not entirely sure what a producer does. Just make Miller the director already!

producers hire the talent amongst other duties..

At least I'm glad they didn't mix the qausi-realism of Nolan's Batman with super powered aliens and super-science experiments.

Yah, that's unfortunately the main reason alot of people LOVED Nolan's Dark Knight series. The ultra-realism really added an extra sense of connectivity with the characters, and grounded almost everyone in the film...even Scarecrow. I loved the first two Baleman movies... but you're right. It wouldn't really work next to Superman and the like. I feel that Batfleck should be okay though.

Again, Iron Man did better domestically than Man of Steel. And that came out in 2008; before it elevated the conception of what super hero movies could be. Then TDK really blew the doors off.

Iron Man and TDK basically re-energized the comic book movie craze. Iron man came out first and was a mostly obscure character to the GA. Superman is the "OG" Super Hero (he's not really but most think he is). The fact that Iron Man outdid Superman in ANY capacity is pretty huge...so again, saying the DCU is outdoing the MCU based on one DCU solo movie of their flagship hero.....yah...not really.

Not WW, though. And OS is becoming more and more important. And I never said one solo movies, but the first phase of the DCEU. The first phase will out due Marvel's.

Marvel set that template though. And did so with its B-List characters.

I wouldn't call Iron Man B-list, but he's no Spider-Man, no.

That doesn't mean other studios can't make more or set the bar higher. I do give MU credit for making their b rated characters more well known. Now it's WB's turn to do the same.

Iron Man was definitely B list before RDJ. Now he's arguably the most popular super-hero around. Anecdotal, but I see SO many kids nowadays carrying his action figures or dressing up as him, talking about him constantly.

I'd say the only A-Listers at Marvel before they got their cinematic universe going were Spidey, Hulk, Wolverine and Captain America.

I would have said he was lower end of the A-list, personally.

Depends on how you define A-list, I suppose.

Now HeroicHollywood is acknowledging George Miller as a possible producer in JL. PLEASE BE TRUE!

Oh no...phuck no...please keep Miller away from this. God please.

Iron Man is certainly in the top 3. It's Spider-Man, Batman, and then Iron Man.

Why are you worried?

After how he neutered Mad Max into an SJW piece?

Phuck that noise.

edit: There's no way Iron Man is below Batman right now. Batman is off the highs of Baleman since he is rebooted once more, and RDJ continues chugging along. Spiderman's place as number 1 is not secure anymore. Toby Mcguire is gone and Garfield-Spidey was basically a bust that was given up on.

Mad Max was brilliant and the best reviewed movie of last year. Sorry, I don't agree.

As for Iron Man, he is below Batman and waaay below Spider-Man. Batman does more in merchanide than Iron Man and the Avengers. Easily. Plus, his movies (Box Office performance) far outweighs Iron Man. And I'm just talking about the last 3.

Mad Max got my nipples hard.

I won't be at all surprised if batfleck steals the show and is the best thing about it..
