Yes it is. You just don't want to label it that because if it fails to live up to Avengers 1 you're going to drown in a pool of your own tears.
😂 you're an idiot if you believe it has to do avengers numbers to be successful. But it's you, so I'm not surprised. Fact is they're already filming 2 to 3 more DCEU movies.

B) I said if it doesn't live up to Avengers you're going to cry. Live up to Avengers meaning make alot of money AND be critically acclaimed.
C) Insult me all you want if it'll make you feel better. I actually find any insults coming from you to be rather amusing.

Ok, that's better. Worse case scenario, the movie makes close to a billion. That's good enough to continue then DCEU. But, yeah, it doesn't need to make 1.5 b. I think the JL can, though. As long as the GA likes it, that's all that matters. That will ensure growth.

I don't think anybody really thinks this movie can rival the likes of either Avengers film.
I honestly believe this movie is going to make TONS of money. I'm guessing that it's going to make around 1.2 billion at least. DC has NEVER had a movie like this. A team up movie; let alone with the holy trinity. DC fans alone are going to watch it 2-3 times by themselves....let alone the general audience.
Where I don't think it can touch Avengers is the quality. Avengers had history developed with their solo heroes and that all culminated in the fantastic movie we ultimately got. I expect BvS to get probably a 70% on IMDB and 65% on RT.
BvS will make a ton of money based on the fact that Superman , Batman, Wonder Woman are far more popular with the general audience and they are pop culture icons. Way more popular than the Marvel characters in the MCU. So the film has that going for it.
What worries me is the quality of the film. Doesnt help that people that seen the film are saying that if you liked MOS then youll enjoy this too. Meaning the small percentage of fans that liked MOS will like this too.
The problem is that mostly everyone else including movie reviewers for TV and various sites, blogs etc, thought MOS was a below average film.
And there is even early damage control going on saying that "People might not like it because they wont understand it" Meaning that we are all small minded idiots it we dont like the movie.

Quality is personal opinion. Fact is, the GA liked MOS and it shows in the numbers even in the DVD sales which sold more than I'M 3.

Just because a character is well known doesn't always equate big box office numbers.

It's the hate brigade.
Don't get me wrong, MoS isn't a beloved film. But it's reception by the public was very average all things considered.

It's Inhuman. MOS did 300 PLUS in DVD/Blue ray sales. To me, that's not the general audience hated MOS. Those are great numbers.
Man of Steel, which was 2013's third best-selling Blu-ray according to the story (behind Despicable Me 2 and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey), generated more than $69 million on the format, compared to about $49 million for Iron Man 3. What's significant about that separation is that Man of Steel sold nearly twice what Iron Man 3 did (more than 2.7 million units, compared to less than 1.5 million).

Yup. If you look at MOS's likes percentage and IMDB scores, it's similar to a lot of Marvel movies, with some being better and less than some. Mark Hughes pointed out the misconception in THIS article:
Next, look at Man of Steel, a movie that was only about Superman, that got mixed reviews and mixed fan reactions, and which is generally considered to have underperformed at the box office. It took $668 million in global receipts, and then — as we’ve seen already — probably $300 million in total home entertainment sales and rentals around the world. Audiences gave it a Cinemascore of “A-”, which is pretty good and which helps account for the healthy home entertainment numbers despite its somewhat misleading reputation as a film rejected by a lot of viewers. The truth is, yes the film had mixed reactions and yes it had some flaws, but also yes it was overall popular with most audiences, and yes it made a healthy amount at the box office and on home entertainment. How healthy? Well, since fans love comparisons, try this on for size: Man of Steel made more money than any of the solo character Marvel films up to that point, except for Iron Man 3. To date, only three of the entire non-Avengers slate of Marvel films have made more box office than Man of Steel — Iron Man 3, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Guardians of the Galaxy. The other seven Marvel solo character films all took less than Man of Steel, and that’s despite the advantage of having an entire universe built up and sequels and Avengers coattails. I’m not trash-talking Marvel, as I love Marvel and they clearly are the champs of superhero cinema right now, and they’re success is phenomenal. I’m just saying, for anyone who likes to imagine Man of Steel was just some failure upon which no success could be built, that’s nothing but a fantasy.
Mark brings up some VERY good points. A solid read.
