Also I dont get how Superman has a statue dedicated to him in the movie. Especially how they portrayed how the world views him. Doesnt make any damn sense.

I thought the film made it pretty clear that people's reception to Supes was very mixed. Some hated him, others literally worshipped him.

Don't make issues where there are none.

Yes, if the future movies can gross more and have a snowball effect. You have to look more than the gross and count the DVD sales and merchandise. So 200 plus could be 500 plus.

You expecting SS and WW to make more than this?

When taking into account the amount of money spent on making the movie and marketing it. those probably will make more profit.

Just like Deadpool made far more profit.

Undoubtedly. We’ve already seen people begin distancing themselves and future DC films from BvS. Gadot has claimed WW is a very different character in her solo film. And I believe the director of Aquaman said his film will be lighter. I’ve also read rumors saying Suicide Squad is currently trying to lighten itself up and add more jokes.

That dream thing is horribly misplaced, illogical and has no baring on the plot of BvS but it DOES refer to Injustice Gods Among Us if I'm not wrong???

So essentially there's a version of the future in which Lex plays the role of Joker and kills Lois Lane, essentially causing Supes to break his "no killing" golden rule and turning him evil. Except Superman has easily broken that rule countless times in MoS and Batman breaks that rule too in BvS!!! WTF Zack Snyder

Nope. Don’t think it has anything to do with Injustice. Superman is working for Darkseid in that scene (as seen with his soldiers working with the Parademons). Whether this is because Lois died or due to him being under the spell of the anti-life equation who can really say.

This is what happens when WB don't let DC have power over its own movies.

Oh the chaos and how DC is already trying to change their plans. Looks like they will try to ape marvel. Laugh out loud at all the DC fans who claimed this was going to be really good.

Sad that WB/DC even now are failing to get it 😬

Its not about having a lighter tone that would make their movies good.
There is much more to it than that. Its about actually understanding the characters you are making movies about. Its about getting capable people in charge of making these movies.
It has nothing to do with "just" tone.

Oh okay that makes more sense than Injustice at least

The movie would've been 100% better had superman and batman actually talked to each other and come to an understanding

The movie isn't as egregious as MoS but it's still chock full with bullshit

Still anxious to see it.

This. I can't tell you how embarrassing and frustrating it is to see the Fantastic Four get FUGGED over time and time again; more specifically Dr. Doom. One of, if not the greatest comic villain ever; and he can't get a proper on screen showing. I feel somewhat the same way for DC here. I mean, BvS isn't as bad as the last FF movie; but it's still not what it SHOULD/COULD have been.

Or if the build up was through a solo Batman film, MOS sequel and (God forbid) the solo Wonder Woman movie first to organically build to this film. Instead of jumping straight in from MOS, a movie which had no connection at all to a larger extended Universe.

The film itself was enjoyable IMO. It's the build up and editing and forced scenes that cause issues which is a result of them jumping into this in an effort to "catch up" with Marvel while "not copying" them.

They're ruining the characters in favor of the tone, though.

A lot of people I know are not watching this because of the reviews. And I'm sure the OW could have done better than 166mill.

My guess is Snyder will go, because however much this makes, he's clearly costing WB money due to critics not liking his work.

Just saw this movie last night.

The action was fun, the movie itself was pretty bad though in all honesty. Scenes were mashed together, it looked like there were supposed to be way more scenes that got half-ass cut out of the movie. The biggest buildup/development of the characters' interactions we got was Batman driving through the chaos of Superman and Zod's fight, aside from that, it felt like these heroes were all just thrown together to have a basic foundation for the Justice League movie and to try to catch up to Marvel and the Avengers.

Alex Luthor was... pretty terrible. It was a sad, over acted attempt at playing the Joker with no makeup, and it was pretty awful, at least imo.

Batman was cool, Superman was Superman, Wonder Woman was miscast.

All in all, a pretty poor attempt by DC. I really can't recommend this movie to anyone in good conscious, unless you wait till its out of theaters or can find a good copy of it online. It's a decent popcorn flick, but nothing else really.

I don't know why studios don't get this.

Deadpool is the most clear example of what happens when studios get out of the way.

I think Doom is just too big of a character for him to be in a F4 movie, he needs to be in an Avengers movie.

Well, I agree as long as Fox has the rights to FF...It could work..but only if Marvel get the rights back.
