What I find silly is the people that seriously think BvS is any different from any other big blockbuster popcorn flicks. That is exactly what BvS is.Its fuqing outrageous to think BvS is some sort of deep and complex, art-house film for mature adults.
In all honesty, BvS could have been great. Had they chosen to make the movie about, oh, I dunno; Batman and Superman.

How come no one said anything about the bleak dream scenes in AOU when SW got into peoples heads? It was god awful those scenes. I still liked AOU over all but it had some bad spots.Yes I liked watchmen as well.
See for yourself if you don't remember just how awesome they were YouTube video
The haters jumping on TI for liking this movie are hilarious.
Also funny how this movie went from being average to completely sucking now.

I enjoy it, yeah. Though Wonder Woman's theme was laughably out of place (sounds nice in isolation though). Hopefully future conductors keep his Superman theme around and don't just toss it out to create their own stuff.
The WW theme was Awful. Horrible.

Justice League will be it's own entity. Marvel has had average movies before Avengers and Iron man 3, yet it didn't effect those two.
Marvel also had some Great films - IM1 and Thor. Those 2 films introduced some massively popular characters to the Universe. Marvel organically grew to Avengers by giving all the main heroes a solo movie first. It didn't just stuff them all together at once.
The only way JL makes more than BvS is if BvS is very well received, and people are looking forward to the sequel (like with any movie franchise), and that hype is increased via Wonder Woman and Suicide Squad.
But if BvS makes under 1 Bill, then that suggests pretty bad WOM, and makes its sequel (JL) under massive risk of performing less.

I wouldn't call Thor a great film, but that's your opinion. Anyway, tonight when I was on the shuttle going home, several more co workers were bringing up BVS. Most of them liked it for the most part, other than one guy who said it was, "boring". I think this movie sets up the DCEU pretty well in terms of getting people hyped for WW and the greater DCU. At least that's what I'm hearing on my end and even if it falls short of 1B, that doesn't mean JL couldn't make more.

It is my opinion. But you can't deny that Iron Man, Thor and Loki had become beloved characters leading up to Avengers. Cap to an extent as well.

I'm also hearing from people they enjoyed it. Girl at work was shocked at the ending. And her friends telling her
Spoiler:Lol. On the negative side she was like "Where the heck did Wonder Woman come from?" But that's the down side of not building up through solo movies.
don't worry they'll bring him back
Anyway those are just what you and I are hearing. But it's the box office multiplier for this which will show what audiences around the world thought.
Like I said I personally enjoyed this movie, and thought it made me look forward to more, but Justice League would depend on if everyone else felt that way because of the way they're just jumping into it.

Nobody jumped on TI for liking it, a couple people laughed because of his over the top statement that it was the best movie he ever saw and blew all superheroes movies away and he(TI) responded by calling them dumbasses.

You must be the type of DC fanboy that sent death threats to Collider and other sites that DARED to give the movie an honest review.
I don't see the need to repeatedly laugh at him, or to joke about him being a DC fanboy giving death threats. This weren't no Fantastic Four or Iron Man 3.
After those responses he's gone crazy at people, but what do you expect?

I don't see how posting a gif of Nic Cage laughing is a big deal and that second quote was from after TI started calling people dumbasses.

I've edited. It was first a Chris Evans laughing his head off, then a Nic Cage.
Why? Is yours and Inhuman's opinion the "correct" one and anyone who doesn't agree deserve to be repeatedly laughed at? And then accused of being DC Fanboys giving death threats to urm "honest" people..
Enjoyable film would watch again (albeit not at the cinema) but was a bit disappointed overall. For a match up of 2 such iconic characters, a fight and team-up people have been waiting decades to see on the big screen, it fell a bit flat imo.
Scale of the collateral damage, god vs man themes, accountability etc, I felt added depth to the film. However the lack of characterisation and plot was almost criminal for me, several times I had to explain to my partner who certain characters were because it was just not explored well enough during the film. Scene changes were often choppy, Doomsday and Lex alround were terrible, and Lois Lane jesus christ she needs to die. Not sure if it's Amy Adams' face or her acting or the writing but she almost ruined the film for me. Lost count how many wreckless and dangerous situations she needlessly put herself in, which always came back to bite Clark who would have to save her.
I don't mind this "dark" version of DC but this isn't the Batman and Superman I grew up watching/reading, Batman seemingly killing random thugs without mercy was pretty shocking for me personally. Overall, good to see Batman & Superman on screen together, good action, Wonder Woman shined and surprising ending (well for me anyway), however it feels like a missed opportunity.
Entertaining ride for most part but could've and should've been better.
