Now you are being a dumbass. And you are selectively missing posts on purpose. You purposely trolled me as well as inhuman and space cadet cause I thought the movie was good. You lying about it wont change the fact.

Was actually the biggest superhero movie opening of all time here in the UK:

Pretty good considering Easter's a fairly big deal here

Oh make up your mind already.

People finding it funny that someone considers it the best superhero movie of all time isn't trolling.

You've seen it then? What did you reckon?

I really enjoyed it overall, but went in with low expectations due to all the reviews.

But I completely understand people saying it should have been better. I mean it was clearly no Avengers, and arguably should have been. The build up could have been cut down some, and the editing could have used some work, but it was fun nonetheless, and left me wanting more.

I definitely plan on seeing it again, on the Big Screen.

However Collider pointed out how this movie could have been much better if we had a Batman solo movie and a MOS sequel first building up to it. And I completely agree. I think it was rushed jumping straight into this after MOS, a movie which didn't even seem like it was made as part of a shared Universe.

Now all we're getting is Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman movie before jumping head first into Justice League.

I think as long as WB/DC insist on jumping in head first, then their shared Universe will never rival Marvel's Imo. Might still be entertaining though, but not as quality as the MCU.

Yeah pretty much agree. Avengers felt like a moment, a milestone for the superhero genre really. BvS was good but could've been so much more.

^ Yeah 👆

Rushing it wasn't the excuse man, they announced this film 3 years ago.

I didn't mean they were making films too fast. Lol I wish they were making these films faster, could have had 2-3 films in the last 3 years.

I meant they're jumping in. Jumping in straight to BvS from MOS. Jumping in straight to JL without solo movies for 4 out of the 6 JL members we're getting.

The result of that is they're moving slower than a tortoise, yet it feels like they're rushing.

Sad thing is they probably could have given us a Solo Batman movie and a MOS sequel last year, and still got BvS out for later this year! Or early next year.

So I'm all for the Wonder Woman movie, Suicide Squad, the Flash movie e.t.c.. Give us all of them as soon as. But I really wish they'd delay Justice League.

We get it space cadet, your favorite guy doom has had shitty movies in every film, and not only shitty movies but a shitty character in them.

So what you are doing now is just trying to bring others down because your "god doom" is a laughable character now.

Sad that WB/DC even now are failing to get it 😬

Its not about having a lighter tone that would make their movies good.
There is much more to it than that. Its about actually understanding the characters you are making movies about. Its about getting capable people in charge of making these movies.
It has nothing to do with "just" tone.

Exactly.

Everything can be summed up by this:

DC hired Bruce Timm and he produced Batman and Superman's respective animated series, Justice League, and most of the pre 52 animated movies. DC hired Greg Weissman and Brandon Vietti and they did Young Justice. All were critically acclaimed. Even their games are in a good place.

What did WB do? A mixed bag. Two decent Superman movies followed by two bad ones, a mediocre pseudo reboot from Singer, and a divisive reboot from Snyder. Two good Burton Batman movies followed by two bad Schumacher ones at WB's exact direction. They lucked out on Nolan. They were still afraid of making a Batman movie prior to him. Catwoman, Jonah Hex, and Green Lantern were bad. Watchman was decent. They even managed to bloat and cheapen BvS: DoJ, their most anticipated movie, ever, with their 2 biggest icons, all because they wanted Avengers money without putting in pre-Avengers work.

I don't understand why WB is so apprehensive to letting DC handle this? They clearly can't do it based on all their failures till this day. Don't they see what Marvel is doing and all the success they're having? Disney didn't come along and say, "We'll take over since we know more about movies than you do." No. They said, "We'll let you do what you do since you know these characters better than we do. We'll just finance you." WB doesn't know these characters. They need to let go and let DC have at it already.

It's time we start contacting WB and tell them they are getting in their own way.

It's no secret that Doom is my favorite character; and that likewise, he's been in some terrible films. That has nothing to do with why I didn't like BvS though. The film just wasn't that good. It's not total crap like the latest FF movie, but it's still not as good as even MoS imo. At least MoS had a better more direct plot and didn't suffer from as many laughable motivations (or lack thereof).

Holding up well during the week so far:

Yet I suspect you will be ragging on this movie for the next year, and you have completely stopped talking about how bad Doom and the FF are, with 3 movies under their belt, they still cant get it right.

Who are you to criticize this movie so bad when your franchise can't pull their head out of their ass?

Peoples only job here now is to attack this movie, its pretty much a bunch of people crying and wailing like children.

^ Their continuous attacks on this movie are pretty overboard, considering they themselves claim "it's not total crap."

I mean jeez, IM3 was total crap, but I don't remember continuously crapping on it this much, or repeatedly laughing at those who loved it.

I suspect some anti-DC bias.

Why would I keep talking about the Shitty FF movies in a BVS thread? They are trash and are KNOWN to be trash. I have full faith that once Marvel gets the rights back to FF, they will FINALLY be given the big screen showings they deserve.

Who am I to criticize BvS? Um, a paying damned customer. I like Batman and Superman, so I was hoping for the best; despite the trailers. I was disappointed; as were tons of critics and alot of fans all over.

Ever since people have said this movie isn't good, you're the one crying and acting like a child. I'm sorry you're so depressed and hurt that BvS didn't come out all roses; it happens. Maybe next time champ.

At this point, I'm hoping this films bombs hardcore TBH. Snyder needs to go and this whole universe needs to go in a different direction. And I was really excited for it. 🙁

At this point, the worst case scenario is Snyder stays on board for JL. It's even preferable to reboot the whole damn thing and restart years from now that that IMO.

It will never bomb now how much ever you want to. Its surpassed its budget long ago.

Word on the street is it needs to gross around $800million WW to break even (which it will easily do).
