Neither can I.RDJ brings the crowds no doubt.
He does. And it's funny to think about how his career was before Iron Man, and how many people didn't want him in the role. Then he adlibs half of the scenes because their script is messed up, and basically carries that movie to success. Dude is a force of nature when it comes to movies.

what point are you making?my point wasn't really about Affleck's age as an actor, moreso about his age as it relates to how it effects his character's age. Affleck being older means he can only play old-Batman, and old Batman is not as good as prime Batman.
RDJ being older doesn't really hurt Tony Stark/Iron Man.
Shit like this is why I ****ing hate the reverence Frank Miller gets.

He is an exceptional actor but trust me the marvel u isn't dependent on him though he greatly helps. RDJ is a better actor than Ben Affleck that's for sure.
Marvels highest grossing Film without RDJ was Guardians 773 million. Highest grossing film was Avengers 1.5 billion.

RDJ is maxed out in the charisma and awesomeness factors and is bankable as hell.
Whereas Ben Affleck, with all due respect...is kinda lame. Known moreso as a punchline because of failures like Gigli and Daredevil, than for his successes like Argo.
But I would still say Ben Affleck is a better actor than RDJ. RDJ is just basically charisma personified, and that helps him.

Something Snyder never thought of, but it wouldn't be the first time he never thought of something in regards to his movies.
Why is WB keeping him? BvS probably won't make a billion and they still have him going forward with Justice League? JL failing will probably have the same effect on future DC movies Batman and Robin had. Maybe worse.

I think you're being too harsh on both of them. Affleck has come a long way in recent years, and I thought he was excellent. That said, I genuinely believe RDJ is one of the best actors if his generation.

I didn't say RDJ was a bad actor.I just think Affleck is a great actor.
RDJ almost seems to just be himself, and that does the trick usually, because he is awesome.
I wasn't accusing you of saying so, just disagreeing. I just think RDJ is better for one reason and one reason only: Chaplin.

Ben isn't a great actor, he's good, but he's not in the same class as Bale, DiCaprio, etc.
Originally posted by CosmicCometI agree he was overrated as a Batman and the fight scene against the thugs was the best Batman scene in the entire film. The rest was nothing special.
As a superhero yeah, best superhero actor for sure. Chris evans is second.Affleck was a weak batman. One good fight scene doesnt change that.

In terms of performance Bale > Affleck. Most people like the character of batfleck more than the character of baleman though
The only performance Bale did that was comparable, IMO was in Batman Begins. He was completely overshadowed and boring in TDK and brought it back in TDKR, but still not as good as BB.
I need to see a full Affleck Batman film to judge. My only real knock on Bale was his voice, and even that at least has become a memorable meme. Every time someone imitates Batman (including myself) they use Bale's voice now and drop the hockey pads line. For me Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are still the brass ring Affleck needs to reach for, and he's not there yet based on BvS
