I think Bale had a lot more to work with, as good as he is.I think Affleck gave a better balance between Batman and Bruce, though.
Dunno. I thought Affleck's Bruce was too dark for Bruce's public persona. Whereas Bale played it well as the care free billionaire playboy, but if you look behind all that you'll see someone clearly messed up. Kind of like American Psycho.

Affleck was barely Bruce though.
Even as little as he was, to me it just felt like it was a more convincing switch.
Bale is by far the better actor, mind you. I just think Affleck brought an intensity and an ability to shift that Bale didn't.

Fair enough. I don't agree, but fair enough.

Never seen a 28% movie cross 800 before. 😛
You realize your DC masters will feed you to the dogs, right?
Originally posted by -Pr-Rotten Tomatoes is an aggregate site. So, only 28% of the critics thought it was fresh. If you look at the average score, it's at 4.9/10. I feel like that is pretty close to the film. I'd probably give it a 5.5.
28% is an awful figure, and not at all representative of the movie imo.

69% seems about right, though that score is padded by a bunch of fresh votes before the film was released. It's likely really around 59-61%.
Yeah, it keeps decreasing.

I don't agree, but then again, spice of life and all.
Originally posted by -Pr-Well, my initial gut-reaction was 6.5/10. But then after I really thought about it more and more I had to rate it lower. There were just too many problems (mostly with the characters themselves) that I just can't forgive. But as you said, opinions. I definitely can see how people could like this movie more...I just didn't. Therefore I don't really see a lot of the negative reviews as "agenda"; just critics giving their honest opinions.
