Iron Man needed 3d ticket sales to pass the Billion mark, plus the boost from Avengers, and still had lame DVD/BLU-Ray Sales in comparison.

You know why? Cause IM3 seriously sucked.

Marvel had their chance to have IM become the most popular superhero. More popular than Batman. But they blew it with IM3.

What's hilarious is you still avoiding the fact that Superman is more popular than Thor and Hulk...

And that Batman is the single most popular superhero. Don;t get me wrong, IM comes close. And he could have surpassed Batman, but they blew that chance with IM3.

The new man of steel was ass compared to the batman films so double lol. He helped create stale crap.

They aren't icons on that level like say of a Spider-Man but stay tuned, kiddo.

Mos was awful. No chemistry between superman and Lois. The villain was completely ineffectual. The fighting scenes were repetitive. The movie stunk.

Hulk is big but he isn't an icon even close to Spider-Man and Superman at this point. Popular yes but not on this level, kiddo.

Man of steel got trounced by a non icon in ironman 3. Marvel is picking up steam. All ahead on the marvel train.

Yes Superman's an Icon thanks to great films like MOS. TIH is massively famous thanks to the 80's tv series, but Marvel failed to make a character so famous a modern day hit with his own solo franchise.

Point to me where I've ever denied that Marvel > Dc on the big screen right now. Either point that out or go dip your head in fanboy shame somewhere. Iron Man 3 is a terrible movie in many peoples opinion. Heck even Quan admits its terrible. I'm a huge huge fan of IM1 and Avengers, and would be more than happy for Iron Man to reign supreme king of Superheroes if his movies were actually good. But they haven't been for a while.

And what's with this "It says a lot that IM destroyed Superman?" What about the fact that it also destroyed all the other Marvel characters? Stop hating on DC characters.

Lol at me thanking Marvel because they've helped DC. Again only a Marvel fanboy like you and Quan would be under the impression that I'm a DC boy. I thank Marvel for giving us Iron Man 1 because that's one of my top 5 superhero movies of all time. I thank Marvel for giving me Avengers because that's one of my top 5 favourite superhero movies of all time. I thank Marvel for giving me Thor because I've always been a Huge Thor fan.

And btw WB/DC have been trying to kick off a Batman/Superman film for years. Batman was going to cameo in the Nicholas Cage Superman but that movie was cancelled. They were then planning a proper Batman/Superman film at the time of Superman Returns, but that flopped and took them back to the drawing board for Superman. So the only big influence Marvel had had on DC is them rushing into Justice League, which I've continuously argued is a bad idea.

And btw The Dark Knight Trilogy also had a massive impact on the popularity of superhero movies today. So don't pretend like that's only down to Marvel.

Anyhow, Quan's the only person who is hung-up on the "Marvel makes more than DC!" nonsense. Most people seem to be normal and like both franchises and are happy when a movie is good/does well, as that means they'll be greater opportunity for higher quality movies in the future from both.

I'm really hoping this one is and does great, it will push Marvel to do even better and we'll hopefully get more Nolan-Batman quality films from the DC characters and less Green Lantern quality crap. The casting choice for Lex still has me questioning though.
