General Zod Invasion Force vs Marvel Earth

General Zod and his crew have decided to invade and terraform Earth. They do not need Kal El for the Codex and he is non existent here. SHIELD has compiled a group of Earth mightiest people to stop them. They must stop the world engines in Metropolis and the Indian Ocean, as well as take on Zod's armada. They are:

Thor
Iron Man
Bana Hulk
Doctor Doom with the Fantastic Four's powers
Phoenix Jean (morals on; not trying to kill teammates or destroy city; no telepathy)
Magneto
Weapon XI

Also forgot to mention, they do not know how to open the Phantom Zone.

They get to stop the terraforming. Then they get curbstomped.

I have not seen Man of Steel yet, but I hear he is not as powerful as the Superman 2 version. If that is so, I figure Thor alone would be a good fight for him.

Don't see the logic in that. He can be more powerful than the likes of Thor while still being weaker than moon moving, time altering Reeveman.

yeah he is weaker, but Kal-El would have his way with Thor.

Negative, Supes rips his throat out before he can lift his hammer. Too fast.

Routh Superman was weaker than Reeves Superman as well. Think Thor would be a good fight for him as well?

Thor is powerful and can fly. But I don't think he's quite as strong or as fast as the Kryptonians. Not to mention they have more fighting skill(Faora atleast).

The others are just weak sauce. Pheonix couldn't even stop Wolverine. Sue's force fields won't be able to hold the might of these guys.

Kryptonians take it.

IF the kryptonians never meet Kal-El, then they probably would never know that they can fly or have heat vision or even remove their helmets.

At first look, I'd be tempted to say the kryptonians win. Too fast, too strong. But then we have to consider that once their helmets are cracked they get overloaded and are susceptible to getting knocked out.

With all this considered, I'd say Avengers have a chance at beating them, via destroying their helmets and taking advantage from there. Avengers also have 3 members that can fly. Heck, Phoenix can probably just crack all their helmets and everyone else layeth the smaketh down on them to knock them out.

Of course if the kryptonians are given a chance to acclimate to earth's atmosphere then the avengers stand no chance.

Didn't Faora get knocked unconscious by a missile, causing Nam Ek to have to rescue her (although the explosion he took being thrown into that freight train was probably far more powerful)?

What if the team get help from Ghost Rider and Silver Surfer?

Fair enough.

The helmets are hella durable though and i think they would try to defend them from harm if the kryptonians are aware of their temporal weakness in earth's atmosphere.

lol his name was Nam Ek? Did he have green skin and antenna and I just didn't notice?

Even without flight and HV they would stomp.

But not without their helmet weakness they won't.

No need. The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that this current team is enough to deal with the Kryptonians.

They'd defend them yes, but that still means that the kryptonians would only be as durable as their helmets. And among the Marvel team we have Thor, Hulk, and Doom who are strong enough to crack those helmets. We have Doom and Phoenix who are capable to creating telekinetic attacks so that depending on how strong these telekinetic attacks are compared to the kryptonians strength would either be able to:

1. hold and slow them down (if the telekinetic attacks are too weak)
2. hold and immobilize them in place even if only for a time (if telekinetic attacks are strong enough)
3. Or even just crack their helmets outright (if telekinetics are really strong enough)

You also have Magneto who's magnetism is strong enough to stop planes from crashing and hold up bridges. That's definitely enough to slow down the kryptonians.

Then there's Weapon XI, who can teleport all over the place and simply put his adamantium claws through those helmets.

Doom can also turn invisible, sneak up on a kryptonian, and either bash it's helmet in (putting together his strength and thing's strength is no joke) or he could wrap himself around said kryptonian and let someone else bash the helmet in.

Doom, Thor, Hulk, and Weapon XI should all be more durable than the kryptonian's helmets, which makes them in turn more durable than the kryptonians.

Kryptonians stomp. Too fast and too strong.

Zod doesn't need his helmet. Plus it took him 13 seconds to overcome this weakness so i doubt it wouke the rest much longer to do so as well especially considering he could tell them how to do so
