All Versus character sorting thread.

Dante needs to be sorted. There are conflicting views on him so we need to reach a consensus. This tier list is new and far from perfect. Most entries to the list only have one vote so far, and several characters are in multiple tiers. We'll be examining most as time goes on.

Yeah, pretty much

Though is there any criteria for these categories? Like speed, destructive capacity, hax

Because if city busters of above can reach low herald.....

And I vote Aragorn for mid street too

IIRC, Dante by endgame had to lock out much of his potential, or otherwise become to powerful for his own good. That said, he was f**king insane despite that. Dante for Low Herald based on potential.

Dante at 4/3 for Low Herald.

Yeah, there is criteria, it's fairly loose, and I'm lazy. I'll see if I can dig something official sounding up.

And in my opinion he beats everyone on this list except Colossus and THAT'S due to bad matchup (magic immunity).
But your opinion is wrong though.

You think he'll lose to Namor or Thing in "no PIS, everything goes" situation? You know HOW Namor "likes" kinetic energy reversals, by the way.

I vote Ser Gregor "The Mountain that Rides" Clegane from A Song of Ice and Fire for mid street.

Physically, he is above peak human. He was able to cave a man's skull in by basically using it as a stress ball, while Gregor himself was wounded and on his back. He can cut armoured men in half with a single blow of a greatsword he wields single-handedly, and wields it like lesser men "wield daggers". He runs and fights while wearing a suit of plate mail so large that most men could not bear the weight of it, much less move in it, and under that he wears heavy chainmail and boiled leather.

He is largely immune to pain, having frequent migraine headaches that he consumes large amounts of milk of the poppy (Pain numbing medication) to dull, and he drinks milk of the poppy more than most alcoholics drink booze.

He is noted to be quicker than a man his size (7'11" and over four hundred pounds of muscle) has any right to be, and is considered one of the most skilled warriors, and possibly the most savage fighter within the Seven Kingdoms.

In battle he rides a huge warhorse (That nevertheless seems undersized when he is riding it), and the aforementioned armour he wears makes him nigh-impervious to most weaponry within the setting, with an eight foot long spear being only capable of piercing the weaker joints of his armour. He tends to wield a six foot long greatsword in combat in his right hand, with an incredibly thick heavy oaken shield in his left. He also has a dagger for close-quarters combat and has been known to carry a lance while mounted in warfare as well

So, thoughts?

Oi!

I think Namor would take his head off and that Thing would weather his blows like the mountainside weathers the wind wailing against it, only this mountainside can clap its hands and break all the bones in the wind's body.

I vote that Dante, and any future heavily-discussed all versus character sorting topics, gets his own thread.

Also I wonder if Charlotte Debel is hot IRL.

Me IRL with a broadsword in Lida Castle.
Wanna have any battlezones? On topic of Dante, and not on topic of this photo, of course.
Cause RoyalGuard is a PERFECT brick stopper. And Namor struggled with Shaw alone. Kinetic energy redirection + other powers = overkill.

I've always wanted to go to an actual castle. mmm

Devil May Cry 2 Dante has Royal Guard?

Wait, who voted Ganondorf for low herald? 😬

They count DMC2 Dante as ultimate form/end game Dante since it's chronologically the most recent incarnation. I thought DMC2 got written out of continuity.

Oh so they're arguing for some hypothetical composite Dante.

I've already said that series suffer greatly from anachronistic order. Thus flashier feats appear in the stuff that is earlier in time chronologically.
Otherwise Wei Phoenix is right. It's a denomination for "full mature power" Dante.

No but give Dante his own thread.

Also, what makes Q a Skyfather? What feats does he have to put him on that level?

I'll be honest, I haven't read any of the Dante debate because I don't care for the character anymore after DMC2, that was the last one I liked.

😬

Last one I played was 3 as a greatest hit. Saw him expand his mouth and swallow a slice of pizza and I was done. Admittedly I've never given any of them a chance after that for one reason or another. The games are probably good.

I hate the entire series.

2 is the worst though.

I'll second Clegane for Mid Street, but I still think Aragorn can kick his ass. estahuh
