God can, too... Or at least, he did in the comics. That's
Spoiler:
why the angel and demon mated in the first place -- God overrode their free will, because he wanted Genesis to be spawned.

*It's also worth noting that in the comics Jesse states that Genesis might be even more powerful than God. /shrug

Jesse is wrong👆

i don't feel like this story has progressed all that much, but it's pretty funny, I'll give it that.

Genesis summoning Yahweh should be interesting.

I'm about to drop it.

i'm about to drop you with a swift left hook, amigo.

So evidently deafness makes you immune to Genesis...

This show needs SOK badly right now.

That's how it was in the comic. That, and not speaking the same language, like those foreign assassins.

This.

If you can't hear the Word, then how will you obey?

We are talking about a power equal to GOD's here. It shouldn't be dependent on a person with good hearing to be effective, lol. Whether the other person hears you or not, you are still willing them to do something via the power of GOD. That should transcend pretty much ALL barriers -- you say, they do. Simple. As it stands, though, anyone with a pair of earplugs > Genesis, lol... It's just a stupid plot-point(it was equally as dumb in the comics.)

...But I guess it's no different than

Spoiler:
Cassidy surviving getting shot by SOK, or THE God getting killed by SOK while he was away from his throne.
Dumb shit happens -- especially in this particular series. /shrug

logically, it makes sense. If it were as simple as controlling freewill, you wouldn't need to speak at all, but sense it's a "word of god" type power, if the word never reaches your brain, why should it work?

Don't get me wrong, I understand the logic as far as it goes. I just think it's a stupid way to neuter the power -- especially given that the 'Word of God' also dumped Eugene in an entirely different dimension(ie. Hell), so it already seemed to transcend any/all mortal barriers... But again: a lot of dumb shit happened in the comics, so there's no need to fixate on this one thing.

I guess I just find it especially silly that someone sporting a pair of .25 cent earplugs can be immune to the friggin Word of God, lol.

i thought the Eugene thing broke an established rule.

When Jesse told Cassidy about his power, it was shown that Jesse couldn't make people do something impossible.

so, he can't make someone fly or sing a song, but he can make them hop dimensions?

weird.

Way to nerd **** a good program.
Great show👆

Well, the lullaby didn't work so I guess that's the cue to bring in the Saint.

It did work but Genesis escaped.

Genesis re-possessed Jesse, though.

Yea thats my point, they got it out, and Genesis said "fck you"

sooooo... it didn't work. kinda

Yeah the use of his powers has been pretty inconsistent.
