The whole, "I'm not human or robot", reminded me of that guy in Salvation. They've already gone down the cyborg route, why do it again?
Marcus Wright and yeah...but this time though, it's John freaking Connor not just some dude.
With Marcus I thought they did a good job with him, but doing it to John and him being a villain apparently just....I don't know..
I didn't want to watch the 2nd trailer. But it was on in front of JW. I felt like even that spoilt too much. The first trailer was enough for me to get an idea of what the movie is about. Don't need to know all the twists in advance.
They're showing too much which is exactly what was done with TASM2. It probably shows they don't have much confidence in the WOM this movie will have, so are just trying to show as much of the stuff as possible in the Trailer and Tv Spots to get people to go watch it.

I just cringed when I saw the preview with the "I'll be back" line. Otherwise the movie looked cool. I actually enjoyed T3 too, despite all its faults. I liked the guy they had playing John in that movie. Maybe because I liked him in Carnivale.

It is a telling sign when I cringed more for that then I did in the recent episode of the "Defiance" tv series where Linda Hamilton says "come with me if you want to live" to Nolan.
most references/allusions to an actors previous work comes off as forced... like in every fight scene Dwayne Johnson has, he has to do a rock bottom. the only time i can recall it being done to an exceptional degree was in 'The Marine' where they say John Cena's character is like the Terminator and Robert Patrick looks into the camera.

This is why I am now hesitant for Rocky to play Black Adam. He has the right look, but we don't need to see him rock bottoming Captain Marvel into a gas station or doing his raised eyebrow.

Damn the last few tv spots spoil way too much....or is it just missleading?Spoiler:
So John becomes the T3000 and they are turning humanity into machines?
Is his before or after
Spoiler:
he was killed in the future? Cuz T3 he was killed (off screen) in the future by the terminator who was sent back to protect him and his lady friend

My concerns as well, looks the part and could possibly act it with a lot of coaching (I don't think he's a good actor generally), but the writers will write in and let us know it's The Rock playing the part.
My bigger fear is him being cast as Namor, should Marvel ever use the character.

Yes and thinking about it Rocky just doesn't sound like you think Adam would, but that isn't that big of a hurdle.
He's not that bad an actor for a wrestler, though I'd like to see Edge get more acting roles, I think he is superb in Haven.
