Marvel's Ant Man (2015)

This is clearly not one of these cases.
I couldnt give a sh1t if this this movie is bad. Not one of my top movies i was looking forward to.
What silly is claiming im one of the retards that is shunning bad reviews cause im trying to defend this somehow.
What is dumb is ignoring that most negative reviews so far have some rant about Edgar Wright.
Not fishy at all. 👆

That's quite the tall order though, so hopefully it doesn't turn out to be a dud.

If it turns out to be one of Marvel's best films then for me I'd say..get the people who made it working on the rest of the Avengers movies and..well, every Marvel movie in the future. Since I don't think Joss Whedon had any involvement and I also kind of think he dropped the ball with Avengers 2.

As someone who hasn't seen the movie, why would you say these Edgar Wright references have no merit?

why people still believe what critics think is beyond me.. the fact is who the frack cares what critics say... all you gotta do is go to movie theater and spend your money and then judge for yourself.. it is that simple.... next friday i will be seeing ant man, sit there for 2 hours(perhaps even close to 2 1/2 hours) and then afterward give my opinion on it.. once again so simple

You're right, Bruce. You have your own opinion when it comes to movies and lots of people can like bad movies.

But critics give you a clue as how likely it is you will enjoy a movie. If you often find yourself totally at odds with critics, then sure ignore them entirely. Clearly your taste is (likely) bizarre.

But it's probably fair to say that critical consensus is usually a good bar of telling whether or not a movie will be good.

Critics aren't completely useless. There are some of them that have similar tastes then I do, so those are the ones I follow closely.

All im going to say is that, ill probably give this movie a shot, but im not overly excited for this film to expend time and effort making arguments why it will be good or not. Or argue about if critics were right or bitter about Wright exiting the movie.

Dont really care tbh.

But you posited that theory more than once. If saying you don't care anymore is the best you can do to concede, I'll take it.

I pointed out something that should be obvious to even simpletons.
Whatevs though.
I have no problem conceding to a topic i have little interest in.

No, it isn't since the critics aren't me. If you want to live by the advice or opinions of others feel free to do so but don't expect me to be a lemming. I go and judge films for myself.

Hey Quan, do you have an example of vehement disagreement with critics? In the sense of a film that was critically reviled that you yourself loved?

You're right in that you cant say a movie is good or bad until you yourself see it, but if the majority of critics claim a movie is dogpiss..... I mean....

It means the majority of critics didn't like it. Nothing more.

Freddy vs. Jason, Last Airbender.

The majority of the critics sometimes I agree with but sometimes I think they are dead wrong. This isn't revolutionary stuff.

Good lord

i only came here for quincy vs quan
