You know I cringe at the thought of going to see a movie in the theater in this day and age..I really do. You have to deal with loads of other people, some who are obnoxious as all hell. You either have to buy their expensive shit they sell or sneak in your own food. If you have to get up to take a piss? Hope there isn't a god damn line, because you can't pause the movie while you go.
Which means you either won't even get to see the entire movie that you paid to see...or you have to sit there watching, but feeling uncomfortable because you have to use the bathroom but don't want to miss anything so you hold it.
Oh and then even worse..some of these movies(especially comic book movies) pull the whole "more scenes after the credits" which means now you have to sit there and sit through the entire roll of credits in order to see maybe a 30 second scene. A scene in which non-hardcore comic fans will probably have to go home and google just to even understand it. Nobody ever comes out specifically remembering 99% of the names they saw on the credits list, so it is the ultimate in pointless stuff some movies do.
I honestly want movie theaters to go the way of the Dodo.

People always do this when a movie doesn't get glowing reviews. They claim the reviewers have some secret agenda rather than believe that the reviewer simply didn't think the film was good. It's silly really.
They've outright said they didn't like that Edgar Wright didn't finish it in their reviews. Don't be naive in thinking they went in there with no preconceived judgements after saying s*** like that.

Well he makes damn good movies. I’m also not happy that Wright didn’t finish the film. However, that doesn’t mean I’m going to hate on it. So not sure why that means you think the critics are. Seriously, every time a “fanboy” film gets less than favorable reviews people do this shit. They did it for MoS, they did it for ASM 2, etc…
The reviews state that this is a script filled with Edgar Wright jokes and Edgar Wright editing that is ultimately done by someone who is NOT Edgar Wright.
This is extremely fair, considering Edgar Wright has a very unique vision and style when it comes to movies.
If you find a review that states "This movie is bullshit because it's not Edgar Wright" your strange anger will be justified.

You're right, Bruce. You have your own opinion when it comes to movies and lots of people can like bad movies. But critics give you a clue as how likely it is you will enjoy a movie. If you often find yourself totally at odds with critics, then sure ignore them entirely. Clearly your taste is (likely) bizarre.
But it's probably fair to say that critical consensus is usually a good bar of telling whether or not a movie will be good.
not really though.. do you think movie studios sit around and worry if a critic gives their film a bad review... i have to remember who said it but years ago a studio exec said "We don't make movies for critics".. you have to remember critics have their own way of liking or not liking a movie. that is different than you or I.. an example of this is Age of Ultron, A few critics out here in los angeles did not like it but then they said nobody is gonna care what they think... do you really think if critics do not like Ant Man that people will stay away????? Ant Man it seems is going to have to a good opening weekend here in the states. I'm not sure how many places it opens overseas next weekend but I will find out that next week...

Trying to help you Thor. You're volatile with critics who mention Edgar Wrights name without caring to read WHY they are doing so
I have, but what you don't get about my point is the Edgar Wright thing shouldn't even come into it.
They should just enjoy or criticise the movie for what it is. If they notice Edgar Wright's touch in it, that's certainly something to observe, but not something to get over obsessed about, or judge the movie solely on that. Because if they do it just becomes apparent they went into the movie thinking about the whole Edgar Wright thing.

At least try a bit of originality, besides the usual "spam the same picture every time he responds routine" , "because I soooo got him good with it the first time"here it comes again in 3....2.....1.
I'm getting mixed signals here. Do you care or do you not care because you seem invested and respond while also saying you aren't invested and won't respond? Do you want to talk about having to go to the bathroom again?
