How is H/P Doomsday only a high herald to you?
Because I think that while he might have been trans at the time, I think times have changed, and the other heralds (especially Superman, at least before the reboot) got to the point where that Doomsday wouldn't dominate them as before.
I've seen the arguments for his power scaling, and while I don't dismiss them, I don't agree with them either.
Then again, I'm also one of those people that believes that Prime isn't a high trans/skyfather either.

I agree that Superman became more powerful since H/P came out, but don't discount how ridiculously badly DD trounced Darkseid and Waverider, two trans characters

SMH, turn your badge inmediatly.
You think that if Jurgens were to replace Doomsday with Thor, He will have Thor defeating the league like Doomsday did?
while I agree with you on ranking someone on the trans tier should not be done to lightly, the herald tier should have a lot of power ranking subtiers.
And based on how This particular Doomsday steam rolled over the JLA teams, Thor will look worse than when He faced exemplar 8th day Juggernaut, imo.

lol, you could write any high herald as a team buster if you wanted to. A lot of writers have.
I just don't think that Trans in 1998 is the same as Trans in 2011.

I thik Jurgens wrote Doomsday capable of doing that to the JLA with the intent and purpose of showing a character powerful enough to defeat a JLA which i turn can kill Superman, Darkseid or waverider.
and if jurgens ever wrote a comic in which Thor defeats the avengers with one hand and 3 shot thanos and breaks hyperion arm, then I will believe Thor can defeat Doomsday

I have no doubt that it was what Jurgens intended.
We still have to deal with showings that came after, though. They can't simply be ignored, and one writer's intent can't be considered gospel.

I agree, on that matter Jurgens got Superman to witstand Starbreakers Supernova attack yet Superman's invulnerability was trumped by Doomsday force. same writer.
Based on feats up to DOS, Superman should have defeated Doomsday with out many problems, yet that was not the case.
Comparing historical feats of Superman and Thor vs Doomsday feats is a no contest, Superman or Thor should win based on that only. Domsday is a villain has less feats, does not has a monthly book and very few appearances.
Yest he was capable of casually defeating characters who have a lot of feats under their belt. This is why We know Anti-monitor is more powerful, because their few feats speak for themselves.
If any writer will set up a similar setting with thor, he will most likely try to justify a power level like that with an outside amp Imo

Yes, I see it, I just don't think is the right approach, because Based on all the feats on their history, a lot of characters should defeat Doomsday, including WW, MMH, Flash, Superman and so on. Yet consistently is not the case. This characters don't think Doomsday is their friend, they don't hold back.

Like I said, you can write a lot of people as a team buster over their peers. That said, no, I don't think Thor would have been written, back then, to beat that team.
That said, ABC logic is a bad idea anyway.
Inverse ninjitsu exists in comics too.

I honestly doubt we will see Thor pulling a team busting feat with one hand like DD did vs a maxima, guy gardner and bloodwyn (MMH) under any writer with out a logical explaination.
That said return your badge this matter is over now 😄
