MM might very well be as strong as Superman. He just might. But that's meaningless when he can neither fight or take a punch. Superman doesn't win fights just because he's stronger than everyone else. He wins fights because he doesn't fold like a little girl everytime he gets hit. Look at the Superboy scene for example. MM showed he was way stronger than Superboy when he nigh casually choked him out. But then he got coma'd by the same guy he just did that too.
The difference between MM and top tiers is they can actually take a beating. Every single one of them has brutal fights. Not MM. The second the going gets tough he either folds or ends up sleeping. Had Superman taken those same hits MM took he would have gotten up maybe dazed a bit, tried to reason with SB, and then put him right back in the line where he belongs.
And the funny thing is, MM could conceivably be Majin Buu like in his malleability. Why is a guy that can morph his body and heal like nothing getting so easily ko'ed? And why does he even need a weakness? It's not like his intangibility even helps.
MM can't take shots in his weightclass and there's no way he could fight outside of it. Which is sad because even Rhino can hold his own outside his weightclass.
And even MM's tp has been displayed like his body too. As soon as the going gets tough he folds.
If this was a pushing or wrasslin match or a fight where he gets Superman's durability, then sure he could be argued to win. In a straight up fight though he gets deaded. Superman can take his shots, MM cannot take his. He can't even take half of it.
A fight between two MMs would be impossible to call because the first punch landed would decide the winner. That's how far behind his durability is to his strength.
Well, he did no sell Apollo's punch way back in Stormwatch. He also tanked Atrocitus's attacks and Wildfire's anti-matter energy. Don't forget his good showings, too.
