Her scenes with little to no lines were carried by her physique and curves not to mention that 1000 yard stare as if shes constantly on her toes... i don't believe her having more lines would have hurt this in any way... not to mention mystique had that voice reverb sound.

I'm just saying a main role is a lot harder to pull of. You can get away with doing a great job in a small roll without being the best actor. Look at Drax in GOTG.

That's true... but mystique shouldn't have a main role in the first place... another reason i like Romiji mystique
You can flesh someone out/give them more development without making them a main/central character... It's X-Men, has always been one of the things it's done well as a series, when written right anyway unlike most of these films. What we've been getting is still passable though compared to the shit Fantastic 4 tends to get in movie form. =(

I couldn't stand Lawrence as mystique. Not that I have anything against her but I think they wanted to show a more vulnerable and naive mystique. There is nothing about Lawrence, physically or otherwise that makes me think mystique. I always envisioned mystique as strong, ruthless and deliberate. I didn't get any of that from Lawrence. However, even though RRS had very little lines I thought she made up for it in her physical acting.
As long as the villain himself is done justice (major Apocalypse fan here), who mind you, hasn't been comic relevant in years now, I'll still be a lot more satisfied with this than with other comic film disappointments. Still hope though it turns out great for me/us as a whole compared to the reviewers. Last thing we need is another film making a series go rock bottom for a certain majority like BvS.

Well it's being directed by the same guy who did X2, so we'll have to see. I used to see X2 as the best film in the series, but it's been easily surpassed by this point IMO. Only thing it still holds well over the other ones for me is the intro with Nightcrawler. That's it.
