Also why does Magneto have a murder pass? He gets this pass that other villains don't. Is Charles Xavier in love with Erik?
Yeah, the guy is a murdermachine haha.
To be fair, tho. Charles did just unleash a greater threat to the planet than Apocalypse ever was (along with a few other weapons of mass destruction) and is harboring them in his own home. Full of kids.

They just kind of randomly gave Magneto a wife and kid, it felt off.
That part didn't actually feel "off" to me. Maybe because I understand that if there was one thing that can "center" an SOB like Magneto, it's having a happy life with a wife and a daughter.

It's just that in the past his motivation was like..oh I'm a mutant and we're being persecuted. But then it's "grrr family dead".

Like I said, priorities change when you get older and more mature.
Kinda like how so many activists are so passionate about their causes in their youth but then have their priorities completely changed once they have a family.
As for motivation, it actually shows that men can change for the better but can also fall much much harder when their feelings of persecution are rekindled and compounded by personal loss and tragedy. I guess one needs to be a little older (or be a parent) to appreciate things like this. 😛

Yes, people are stupid in this regard. Just like the people asking for Elsa to have a girlfriend or Captain America to have a boyfriend. These idiots all need a cause.

The point is all of these causes are dumb as hell the way they're being portrayed. People are so bored and insecure they'll create a stir over anything.
You're very insecure about your sexuality.

He's not more mature though, as we see when basically he decides to help murder the world after his family is killed.
Remember when Magneto was all "Oh Charles I didn't try to kill the president I tried to save him in Dallas" and then like 3 days later he actually does try to kill the current president in his Murder-Stadium? He's such a rascal. But that was in the previous movie.

That was actually the whole point....
And yes, he's pretty extreme in what he does but the reasoning was pretty consistent. JFK was a mutant, this he tried to save him. Current Pres wants to sanction the use of anti-mutant murderbots, him bad. The logic was pretty simple.

Saw it again today and still loved it though my opinion on Lawrence's acting hasn't changed in fact I think it's even worse on the big screen. Like when she's talking to Magneto as he's tearing up the Earth, her tone is so flat and unemotional its like she's just talking to a drive through window. Still the 2nd best Superhero film for me after Civil War
The billboard removal of Apocalypse chocking Mystique due to sjw outcry was dumb, but expected.
