Admittedly when I first posted that I didn't see the link. But the past 4 years Marvel's done some pretty questionable stuff with their characters in other mediums so I'm still on the fence.

They were content to let people like Bendis and Fraction make a ****ing mess of things under the guise of being "edgy" and "cool". The writing suffered, but they were still treated like a big deal.

Now? What they're doing now is a complete and utter **** you to Fox, and sadly the fans who've grown up with X-Men.

This movie sucked. Only good character was Quicksilver.

Man guys I'm really sorry you folks didn't like this movie as much as I did. Seen it twice so far and I rank it up there with civil war at least. I guess I just B rated movies.

I'd have to bump my initial rating of this down a point or two now, though still liked it for what it is (alright/average like a lot of the other X films), but X-Men will still need a real major overhaul to ever come close to reaching its potential on the big screen.

Has anyone seen the bs over a billboard??....smh.

This movie was alright. It really suffered from the horsemen plotline tbh. If they had just focused on Apocalypse and given his character more depth and a more defined plan then it would have been much better.

Magneto was amazing AGAIN. He's by far my favorite X character to watch in these films (Fassbender is a great actor). Also, Quicksilver's scene was incredible.

There was a LOT of great scenes in this film, but it didn't add up to make it a great movie.

Id' say it's a 7.5/10. I enjoyed it but it's certainly flawed.

I do think both sides are doing their fair share of "f*ck you". I remember reading that one reason they decided to put Quicksilver in the X-Men movies was because they found out he was going to be in the Avengers movie. Which there is a weird clause with the character where he can be used by both companies.

Though to be fair, at it's core this really comes down to Marvel being pissed that they sold off some of their properties back when they were in need of money and are pissed people don't want to sell them back.

Was Magneto's little girl that died in this movie supposed to be a young Wanda Maximoff? Was never really quite clear on that, but if it was, I would've liked if she had lived just so you could have another Quicksilver kind of scenario. lol

Didn't they have a little girl in DOFP that was suppose to be Wanda?

No, Quicksilver had a little sister in the last movie.

Who would make such a terrible contract? Who on Marvel's side negotiated such a horrendous deal?

^ Probably Avi Arad

Probably why Marvel kicked him to the curb and why he's a sour grapes.

Going to see this Wednesday finally. Hope its entertaining.

Both sides had lawyers proving Wanda and Pietro have roots in both X-Men and Avengers. It's an anomaly.

Marvel at the time didn't have what DC has long had, corporate partnership/ownership with a major studio. They were once owned by New World Studios in the late 1980's, but that didn't pay off for them at all and New World went out of business.

If they hadn't gotten the loan to begin Marvel Studios, maybe Fox would continue to be their main studio. But nearly everything Marvel sold off once has come home; Fantastic Four is likely next. Fox will eventually need to cross X-Men over with the MCU to refresh things; some think it's already looking stale with X-Men:Apocalypse. A power sharing thing like what got struck with Sony with Spider Man may be the most likely thing, now.

Saw it on the weekend. I thought it was solid and entertaining, somewhere in the middle of the X films. Maybe top 5 or 6.

I thought it was decent too

Just got back from seeing this and I actually thoroughly enjoyed it. I've read a few of the mediocre reviews, but stayed away from any spoilers, so I had no idea who or what was going to be involved.

***Spoilers*** if they are still needed at this point

Quicksilver had the best scene again. Clearing the mansion was insane.

The Beast showed a level of strength I didnt know he possessed. He chucked a car for cripes sake.

Apoc is probably the most powerful villain we have seen to date. Dude was a monster.

I had a nerdgasm when Jean went Phoenix. What she did in this film is how its supposed to be. Negates the whole Last Stand Wolverine thing.

Loved the uniforms at the end. Mystique had her white and blue outfit and Kurt even had his red. Good stuff.

Really enjoyed it and I would say it was as good as DOFP for me. 8/10

Only problem with Jean though still is how they seem to act like the phoenix force is a natural part of her mutation, rather than the cosmic entity that forms a symbiosis with her and stuff.

Saw the movie today, I really enjoyed it!!!! Apocalypse was great! Everyone was good in fact!
