I normally enjoy Collider but they are dead wrong and in denial. The Plageuis "dream" is dead. And it's been dead for awhile.

Darth Plagueis is technically canon, as he was mentioned by Palpatine in the prequels. The possibility that he shows up is strong I'd say.

Tbh it's still 50/50 that Snoke is the duel identity of someone Star Wars know of.

Would make more sense though than this "immensely powerful darksider" coming out of nowhere, or having to make up a believable origin for him IMO.

So a new TV spot has a shot with Kylo twirling his lighsaber to deflect blaster bolts. It seems that they are going to make trained force users fight more like they did in the PT rather than the OT.
