I never said Luke has to kill Snoke. Unlikely he'll even kill Kylo.
But I do see Snoke running from Luke. Just like Dooku and Palpatine tried to run from Yoda in the PT. Heck they even had Windu " defeat " Sidious in the PT ( setting aside all debates on the ambiguity of that fight's result ) but it was still Windu who died, not Sidious.
Or Snoke could just completely avoid Luke in the first place. Because I'm beginning to think more and more like you in that Snoke and Luke won't even meet properly in this one.

But it seems Luke is hardly in this one, so I doubt he just shows up and fights Snoke right away. But it's possible.
Also will be interesting to see where they're going with Snoke. He might die early on in the trilogy if the main villain focus is on Ren.
