DC fans tend to be Star Wars fans. That's what I've noticed anyway. Don't know why though.
Star Wars is pretty symbolic in a simple way. It's a heros quest. You need to see it with a children's mentality, unlike some fictions that force themselves to be gritty. Much like DC actually.
Which is why Quan likes both of them in such a fanboyish way.
(MoS was still a disappointment though)

Well Hamill, Ford and Fisher certainly understood the kind of performances a movie like Star Wars needed. Hayden didn't unfortunately.
Should have got Sam Witwer to play Anakin Skywalker. He would have TOTALLY Killed it. Not because he's the best actor in the world, but because he Gets Star Wars, and the kind of performances required.
I hope they do eventually give him a main role in a Star Wars movie.

Don't forget the big difference was that Hamill, Fisher & Ford had real sets & props around them to set the mood & get the feel of the universe they were supposed to be in.
Hayden & the rest of the actors for the prequels had nothing but a barren stage & blue screen behind them. All their acting seemed wooden. They memorised their
dialogues & relied on Lucas to describe what was supposed to be behind & around them.
