The Flash has got everything rights in terms of the characters, special effects, the villains, the plot.
It's just missing some excitement in the individual episodes. Something Arrow's never had a problem with tbh.
But it's nothing they can't fix, so I'm more than willing to keep on watching. I mean whatever problems it might have, it's still THE FLASH!

Im enjoying this show. IM not sure how either this or Arrow is being geared toward women though.
Probably because most people are used to it by now, or for the younger folks, pretty much all they have ever known.
It is the constant melodrama, love stories, female love interest in the hero, and relationship issues. Heck, just watch practically any scene where Laurel, Thea, or Iris speaks. So much pandering to women's appetites.
You could argue its only "half" the show, but its tiring.
Honestly of it doesn't up it's game on storytelling and excitement it's not going to get even close to a 5th Season.
It's ratings have dropped every single week since it began and let's not forget with the special effects the show won't be cheap to produce either. That's why the Original Flash series only lasted 1 season.
Seems to me like the problem is the main excitement on this show is only appealing to us fans. Like seeing him run up a skyscraper, or having a Gorilla Grodd cliffhanger.
They need to start appealing more to the general audience, and soon.

The article I read just today said its ratings are up as of the last ep. In fact the article said that episode was the highest rated broadcast show on November 11th.
EDIT: forgot to link it lol http://comicbook.com/2014/11/17/the-flash-hits-highest-rating-since-premiere-in-live-3/

Ah right, that's counting recorded showings. I think Live+3 means people who watch it like 3 days later.
I was just taking the audiences watching it when it first airs which you can see here:

As you can see, steady decline with initial viewership. But what you've posted is good news though. Sounds like the show will keep "running".

^ While all of the above is true I would like to point out that Smallville and Supernatual have made it to 10 seasons: just saying.
Have to check Supernatural, but aside from the last few seasons Smallville had much higher ratings. In it's initial seasons it had like between 7-9million viewers, and even when it first switched to the CW it did get over 5mill initially. Flash has not made 5 million yet and is not even making 4 million anymore (when it airs).

However if this goes the way of Arrow, hopefully introducing Zoom will do for Flash what Merlyn & Slade flashbacks did for Arrow.
Hope so hope so. Villain of the week thing isn't really working Imho, although Captain Cold was good. If they set up 2-3 main plots revolving around some great recurring villains, like the Rogues lead by Captain Cold, Gorilla Grodd and Zoom, that would work much better IMO.

Im glade they are taking those people into account because im one of them. My current home doesn't get that channel so I rely on Hulu. Im sure there are others in my boat too. Or people like my dad that works 12hr nights but wants to see it. Anyways yeah it is good to hear!
E named The Flash the #1 top ranked show to watch.
