So uh...we're supposed to pretend that this never happened?:

Also Wally still looks weird in that costume.

They actually reference that episode in the S2 finale when he changes the past.
You see his it herself who went back to the same time in the S1 finale watch his S2 self beat up Thawne and smile. Then he disappears because I guess that version of him won't exist.
And I guess the future version of him who told his younger self not to change it in the S1 finale just doesn't exist anymore. But I'm sure they'll address why that version of him eventually.

Yes was hoping RF would be the Wells version.

Buffy's actually one of the more noticeable gaps in my nerd knowledge.
But it's just everything the CW is doing. They aren't holding sh*t back, and I love it. There have been plenty of good musical episodes in TV history; that is no assurance that this will be good, but Whedon is a good sign. Melissa Benoist and Gustin are adorable, so it should produce a lot of smiles. They also have a surprising amount of musical talent in the cast(s). I'm particularly excited for Jesse Martin.

Might just be me, but musical episodes do little for me.
My sister told me both leads were in Glee so they can sing, but I never watched that either, so I assume they won't be terrible.

They were, so they have some chops. And as mentioned, Martin can knock it out of the park. Before TV, he was a star on Broadway, most memorably in the original cast of Rent.

Ah I didn't know that about Martin. He's one of the best actors on the show though, so not at all surprised.

You know, I saw that but ignored it because I assumed it was a joke.
Depends which Whedon we get. Whedon at his best can do some great things, but when he's suffering from fatigue, his projects are somewhat underwhelming. Well, at least to me personally. Age of Ultron, for example. I know a bunch of people love that film, but it didn't quite land with me like the first Avengers film did.
