Hero-izing a villain team.
Went for The Masters of Evil, original line up.
That means i’d be looking for a German character to lead, a knight, a godly sorceress type, a mighty axe wielder, a radioactive character, some sort of melty guy, and a powerhouse, ideally one who’s done a heel/face turn.
Was going to try DC, but came up w. a fairly coherent one from Marvel instead...:
MVP (Baron Zemo)
Great grandson of German scientist Abraham Erskine, MVP is looking to put together his own independent team, and intentionally goes about modeling it after the MoE as a big EFF-YOU to all Zemos past and present. This means he needs heroes to fill specific roles, and he knows just where to start.
THE BLACK KNIGHT (The Black Knight)
MVP approaches Dane Whitman, and offers him a chance to be on a heroic version of the team his villainous uncle Nathan Garrett helped found. Dane is intrigued, and becomes the first member. He uses his connections in the super hero community to help MVP pick and gather the rest of the team.
SERSI (Enchantress)
Not an actual goddess or magic user, Sersi’s Eternal-derived longevity and psionic matter manipulation abilities have inspired legends. Truth be told, when asked to join this new team, she isnt too impressed w. fledgling hero MVP, but her history w. Dane Whitman sways her to say yes.
ARES (Skurge)
The God of War doesnt take much convincing when approached by MVP, Dane, and Sersi. He’s always looking to ply his trade, and team level threats make for tougher, more interesting fights.
HAZMAT (Radioactive Man)
Having been at loose ends since the closing of Avengers Academy, Hazmat is actually really interested in joining MVP’s new team as their “nuclear option”. She feels she can learn a lot from heroes like the Black Knight and Sersi, and she’s eager to put her powers to use.
WITHER (Melter)
Having been a student at the Xavier Institute, a New Mutant, and a Hellion, Wither’s come to one conclusion: He needs to get the hell away from his fellow mutants. He sees this team as a way to carve his own path, and accepts MVP’s offer. The Eternal Sersi, who seems way nicer than either Selene and Emma Frost, both of which have used Wither for their own ends, has even offered to teach him ways to control his power. Bonus!
ATLAS (Wonderman)
Reluctant at first, Atlas is reminded by MVP and Dane, of the connections he shares w. the Zemos, the MoE, and Wonderman. While Wonderman has gone on to become a respected hero after being used by Heinrich Zemo, Atlas, used by Heinrich’s son Helmut in much the same way, is still struggling. Atlas doesnt want to struggle any more.
