Marvel exec criticizes Man of Steel

MOS was pretty okay. Action-wise, very solid. I like Henry Cavill, so I didn't dislike his Supes rendition. Also, Antje Traue made me hardwas awesome.

The storytelling was kinda meh for the first 20 minutes or so though. Even as a non-Supes noob, I was thinking "Wtf is going on and where are we going?"

There's far worse out there though. Like Daredevil, Elecktra, Batman and Robin, Superman III, etc.

No bad superhero film, not even Fantastic Four or Spiderman 3 at it's worse, or even Batman and Robin, will ever be as godawfully terrible as the turd that was Catwoman.

Halle Barry should have bounced on a trampoline naked to atone for it and sold it on DVD.

Nah. She doesn't have the necessary boobage to generate sexy jiggles. I'll settle for a Catwoman/ Invisible Woman erotic crossover.

Get Black Widow and Silverstone Bat-nipples Batgirl in there and the Fantastic Foursome will be underway.

That shake-weight gif is really kind of disturbing.

Did they not see the Freudian implications when they designed that thing? Maybe men are supposed to use it in front of their wives.

The Romance between Clark and Louis was never right even in the first films. The best romance between them happened in Smallville series. The rest is just a manufactured 2-3 hour relationship. Smallville it took -5-6 years to get it down.

There's also Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman that deserves about as much mention in that regard, but yeah. There's a better time and place for romance in those kind of series than in any 2 to 3 hour film.

Pretty sure it was a bet gone wrong.

Damn. I nostalgically remember Lois and Clark. I wonder how Dean Cain Supes would do against other incarnations.

Or an insane idea gone right

Good question. It'd been too long. Terri Hatcher was actually hot back then.

Time to unveil the Finger-weight then.

Lois and Clark did the romance the best, imo.

Dean Cain's Superman was heavily inconsistent; not sure how he'd do.

Really, Supes wasn't doing as much in that series as he was outside of it. It took all his Kryptonian power to get into Lois' pants.

He was desperate to be with that housewife.....
Come on, anyone?

IIRC in one episode of L&C, Supes was getting out of the shower, heard someone yelling for help, tossed up the towel, went to help the person, and made it back before the towel hit the ground.

Oh, his speed feats are ****ing ridiculous in that show. Terribly so.

He just has that whole "kryptonite turns him in to a feeb" thing that Smallvile had, and the comics hasn't had in years.

I'm feeling thats one of the reason knite was left out of MOS, so stupid to continue that crap when its not on comics anymore.

I don't mind Kryptonite itself; just the portrayal of it.

Lois & Clark was a cute romance but in my book had nothing to do with superman. Same with smallville, cute teenage show had its moments but didn't remind me of superman at all. Not a huge fan of either
