Mass Effect: Andromeda

What's going on in the story is clearly another First Contact War so it's gonna be interesting to see how the dialogue plays out when negotiating with the new alien race or races seeing you as an invader.

Glimpses of gameplay in the trailer do look like there's gonna be some pretty epic boss battles in Andromeda which is something Mass Effect has been seriously lacking in ME3.

Suppose I shouldn't crap on N7 Day entirely. ME2 is the best game out of the trilogy IMO so I'm definitely looking forward to playing that again.
It's cool but I've got them all on PC so meh for me

Not sure.

I like the premise though. It would make logical sense that it would be something similar to the first contact war but different. There is other races within the "Arks" so I'm guessing some sort of galactic hegemony are the primary atonganists.

However, in Bioware fashion there is got to be some sort of threatening uber species that will have the character fight against. I wouldn't be surprised if it has something to do with Reapers. It makes sense to me.

I do like the premise and I think it's cool that they got around ME3 ending but having the "Arks" leave the Milky Way galaxy between ME2 and ME3. In fact, it makes absolute sense that some sort of deep space exploration initiative would happen between those games. The galaxy is not yet terrified of the Reapers and massive amount of money to create these things is logical from a story perspective.

I still not a fan of setting this game in Andromeda. I feel like there was still a large portion of the Milky Way galaxy we haven't really explored.

It's gonna be difficult for this to really feel like a ME game without the Citadel being a part of it.

I dunno, I'm excited for the game and I'm sure I'll enjoy it but I think it's gonna not really feel Mass Effectish. My hope is that this game will either be the start of another grand trilogy that will take us back to the Milky Way in the next games, or be a singular experience that exists to essentially solve the problems created with the endings to ME3, so that we can go back to the Milky Way galaxy. I just want to go back to the Milky Way galaxy, is my point.

Setting it in Andromeda is pretty much the only way to do a sequel without admitting that Control is the One True Ending. The end of ME3 doesn't leave a lot open for a continuation in that galaxy.

Long as there are worlds to explore, teammates to love, weapons to customize with new minerals, tough choices to make, a decent leveling system, good gameplay, and fools to renegade interrupt, I'm okay with it.

Besides, unless Bioware decides to finally do prequels, there's not much going on in the Milky Way after ME3 like Neph said.

I thought the renegade/paragon system got removed

They have, but there will still be interrupts.

Combat looks interesting though.

That face @1:44 was pretty bad.

Does it use Frostbite? Because DAI had better animations than that, and that's a few years old now.

GTFO with your DA, PR

shrug

It is the most apt comparison, imo.

Jesus that looks bad ass. These new powers look to be a lot of fun.
