What a poor trailer. "If they want a fight, we'll give it to them!" Really? The game is looking very generic. I'll still buy it and hope it's good because of ME2, but it looks like yet another misfire by Bioware.
It doesn't bode well for them that a lot, if not all of the people who were around when ME2 came out (and even ME3), don't work for bioware anymore, or at least don't work with Mass Effect.
If it's better than Dragon Age 3, I'll be happy enough with it.

If it's better or just as good as Dragon Age 3, I'll be happy. Yeah I like Inquisition. Problem? estahuh

I like Inquisition just fine. It has its flaws, sure, but it's a solid game. If ME4 does the same and has far less fetch quests and mmo-esque filler, I'll be happy.
Inquisition completely fails when it comes to character and story. Unfortunately Bioware felt the need to sacrifice cohesiveness of story for boring open-world fetch missions. The game itself has entertainment value for sure, but it's still just another downgrade from dragon age origins.
I sincerely hope Bioware is emulating ME2 and not Inquisition we'll see

Agreed. I like Inquisition a good amount, and I don't really agree with the complaints about cheesy one liners, all the Mass Effect trailers have had those.
Yup.

Have to disagree, at least when it comes to characters. As far as story goes, the main quests were decent, but stunk far too much of them trying to add more and more to the mythology instead of explaining anything.
Solas alone raises far too many questions.

Each subsequent DA game felt less like Dragon Age, if that makes sense. The atmosphere of the world they created in Origins was seemingly cast aside in 2 and 3; Origins feels like it's almost a completely different world than 2 or Inq.Also, Andromeda looks f**king awesome.
I agree. It started off as very grimey, dark medieval universe and got lighter as the series went on. Sure, there were some elements of it in the later instalments, but like you said it really is like playing in a different world.

That was my first and only Dragon Age game and I loved it. Wish I played the others now

You still can if you have a lastgen console or PC. Origins is, If I'm being honest, my favourite game of the last decade. The combat is VERY different though. It's far more tactical (and harder if you're on PC), and is more an old-school RPG than the others.
2 is kind of a go-between as it has elements of both.

Yeah Origins is great on PC. I still like Inquisitioin it's fun, I just wish we could go back to the Origins style is all. A KOTOR type game is what I miss. Inquisition feels more like World of Warcraft
Yup. Those fetch quests were more like MMO quests than single-player rpg ones. Inquisition does have a few nice moments in side missions like the haunted mansion, but it still feels like a poor substitute for the Alienage Orphanage in DAO.
Something I really hope we get to see in ME4 is proper choice and consequence. Even to the level we got in ME1. It looks like a fine game in terms of combat, but I want to see more of the dialogue/interactions than we've been shown so far.
It's why i'll probably watch a few let's plays before deciding to buy it.
Also, did anyone see how "Humanised" the female Turian is? I'm almost certain it's because she's a romance option, but her face and her general physique look a fair bit different to how Turians were in the previous games (even in ME3 in Omega's DLC).

Cool 👆I recommend playing it on PC because the mod support is excellent, but if you can play it on console it's still a hell of a game.
Thanks for the tips guys.

As for Mass Effect 4, gameplay looks great. I love the new teleportation mechanic. It all feels personal and hectic.
This game will live or die by it's story and side content. I'll admit, it looks a bit generic there. Still, I have high hopes for it.

DA O's combat was atrocious, boring, and time consuming. And the Fade mission was almost as tedious as redoing Ostagar on a third or tenth playthrough.
DA I has some opportunities, but it comes off a lot better. Dragon fights are amazing, some scenes have a very heavy, epic feel, and finding Skyhold was the best part of the series in terms of awesome.

Aside from Solas, I found them all very boring. But then again I don't play Bioware games so I can fantasize about my companions like 95% of the rest of their fans, so that's my loss.
