But then what about all the other Dathomir clans? Like the Singing Mountain clan?

Canon non

Even including Legends, though, nightsister magic has special properties that Talzin can control, hence her rare abilities.

@Q99, you do realize Talzin fought Windu for a decent amount of time, even forced him on the defense, whereas she was disarmed by Sidious within a few strokes despite having access to Dooku's body?

Double post 4 lyfe

Talzin references being hated and exiled by the other clans.

They're canon.

Where does she reference them?

Time to go watch every single TCW episode to find out 😛

Meh, was looking for Talzin feats anyway. I'll watch them and get back to you, I'm fairly sure it was a Ventress episode.

If anyone else wants to check for me, off the top of my head I'm thinking the episode where Kenobi and Skywalker interrogate her on Savage, she mentions them.

Not sure though.

She didn't reference those clans in particular.

Regardless, she can harness nightsister magic on her world better than can off world, which is why Sidious wanted to draw her out.

If you thought I meant that she was drawing on all the magic from the entire world, well, that's not what I meant. I should have worded it better.

@SIDIOUS 66

I think Talzin vs. Windu battle was kind of different, she used some kind of magic sword for example ;

How is fighting with a sword any different to a Lightsaber?

Not like it cut through Windu's blade or drained him or anything....

@Selenial

It seems to me that possessing Dooku's body kind of hard for her, also she was intangible when the time she fought against Windu.

Yeh that's what I was thinking too.

I was just trying to figure out which context you were using thought, I thought we were just discussing Talzin's skills.

But yeh 😛

And I wonder if that was actually a minus. She'd had it for moments, and she didn't have *his* skill. Maybe she'd be better in her own body which she'd be more used to.

Really, Q?

Talzin was able to go toe-to-toe with Mace. Being able to contend with Sidious is a reflection of her prowess, not an indictment of Sidious.

It's an indication that he isn't fast enough to blitz there, which is what I was talking about.

And he actually *mentions* the skill factor. So, yes, really.

Just try to imagine Krayt instead of Sidious and I'm sure this conundrum will work itself out for you.

Yea, Krayt couldn't do the blitz either. A lot of people around here really overestimate how easy it is to blitz.

Not sure what that analogy is trying to prove.

facepalm

Talzin not possessing Dooku's skill (which may very well have been a taunt considering her performance against Windu, a peer of Dooku's) has zilch to do with not getting blitzed by Sidious. She's powerful enough to not be steamrolled outright (which is obvious given that she dukes it out with Sidious on relatively even terms right after). Skill won't protect you from being speedblitzed.

If you're better, then you're better at anticipating hits and reacting to quicker ones.

Someone slower, but not *that* much slower, is more blitzable if they're low-skill than if they're high-skill.

Sidious mentions her possession of Dooku's body as plus not a minus.

Personally, I don't like to think Sidious could just go around blitzing just anybody, but blitzing Windu's B-team is something Lucas confirms as being within Sidious' capabilities, and that they were cut down so easily because they're not Yoda or Mace, who are the only jedi capable of competing with him. Lucas is to blame for making Sidious OP'd in speed.

I think the order may be a bit messed up...

More blitzable? 😂

Anyway, your attempt to lowball Sidious is pretty transparent but your conclusion is totally unsupported. You're implying that a disoriented and unskilled Talzin is still good enough to fend off Sidious for a few blows, but that simply reflects her power better than skill.

Nice effort, though. 👆
