Captain America vs Achilles(Troy)

Achilles and Cap face off in the same way Achilles and Hector did...in front of the walls of Troy.

Both have spears, short swords, and two vibranium shields. Yes, Achilles has a shield just like Cap here.

Fight to the death. Who wins?

Achilles wins, Cap never has fought with a sword.

Achilles has the skill.
Cap has the limited superhuman strength.

The shield in film has proven that force against it doesn't mean much.

In other words Movie Cap's shield doesn't adsorb all damage.
In actuality the film shield just doesn't break under pressure.

But such restrictions don't really apply to Achilles, but considering Cap destroyed chunks of a SHIELD hover mobile. It proves he has strength behind his throws. Strength Achilles doesn't have.

In this setting Achilles falls to the floor once Cap throws his shield against him. Cap catches his shield and moves in and repeats.

Cap punches Achilles and his decapitated head ends up flying over the walls of Troy.

A vibranium shield, will repel a vibranium shield. Achilles has the reaction and ability to see attacks before they happen.

His shield stopped Thor's hammer, I'd say it absorbs damage beyond anything else.

His strength was shown to be above human levels as Hector stated that he had never seen a man throw a spear that far before.

Considering they both have identical shields and Achilles knows how to use a sword and shield beyond Cap has shown in a sword and shield fight, that will give him the advantage over Cap.

The Legend in the Movie as stated was he was the sword of a immortal goddess and could not be killed. As that was the legend in the Iliad as well I'm inclined to go with the lore.

Achilles is also better trained with the weapons given.

Yea his spear, sword and shield are his strengths.

Nobody should ever claim that Achilles is better with a shield than Cap.

Please, Cap loses his shield continuously.. if anyone is as good with a shield it would be Achilles.

Cap will most likely throw the shield and Achilles should be able to knock it down.

Cap throws his shield and has it rebound back to him using angles and trajectories that nobody else aside from comic Cyclops would be able to pull off. The only time he lost it was when he fought people far more powerful than him(Loki) or when he fought WS and he used his arm to catch it.
